Thorough and responsive.
I had a total hip replacement from Dr. McLawhorn just over a year ago. The procedure was basically painless, the recovery was easy and I went back to skiing this past winter
I had hip surgery 6 weeks ago and am over the moon happy with the result. No pain. Back to walking many miles a day. Dr McLawhorn was the best. First rate care. Highly recommend.

Dr. Mclawhorn was the most professional, knowledgeable , and skilled surgeon I have ever met in my entire life (68 years). I was pain free one day after my hip operation , and experiencedno complications.
In March 2024 I had a total hip replacement. Dr McLawhorn was very thorough and gives you specific instructions so you know what to do and how much you can do. I can say that I was very nervous before the surgery but it turned out that was needless angst. Just 6 weeks out and I can walk 2 miles and am walking better than I have in years. I never really had any pain just numbness and achiness. The Stamford Hospital Staff was also terrific.
Dr. McLawhorn performed a total hip replacement for me in January, 2024 at HSS's facility in Stamford, CT, after a sudden onset of arthritis that left me unable to walk without severe pain for several months.
