I've had two knee replacements with Dr McLawhorn and both have been totally successful. His competency is excellent. His style is very professional and caring. All questions are addressed in very understated manner.I am very appreciative of his professionalism.

Each team member did an excellent job, The entire experience was a team effort and was patient-focused. Each team member gave their name and what they were there to do- even if it was to lead you down the hall. All questions were answered, and the documentation you went home with answered them all again- including the ones you hadn't yet known to ask. Best surgeon!
Dr McLawhorn is an excellent listener and efficient communicator. He replaced my right knee 3 months ago and the left was just done this week. I am grateful for the efficiency of the HSS staff, Alexandra and Amanda, the nurse Anne, the whole pre-op and the operation room staff. I could tell that they enjoyed their work, and each other- a sign of good business practice and care for employees behind the scenes. If I had another knee, Dr McLawhorn and HSS would be the only place I would go!
I had left anterior hip surgery at the end of July in Stamford. From the time I arrived for my initial consultation in June I was impressed by the efficient, knowledgeable, patient and caring staff. Dr. McLawhorn performed my THR on 6/27/2023 at HSS - Stamford after 8 years of pain. My mobility was significantly reduced by the time I had the surgery. The only issue I had was getting into my home (about a 90 minute drive) after being released from the hospital (within 24 hours of surgery). Dr. McLawhorn saw me 6 weeks post-surgery after reviewing a current x ray taken the same morning as the visit. He reviewed the x ray results with me, examined the incision and tested my range of hip motion. He explained what I needed to do for a complete recovery and answered all of my questions in a very understandable manner.
One knew was done 4 years ago no problems it works perfect the other was done 3 months ago it to is perfect
