Restaurant presented me with two different check receipts, one correct and one for entirely different amount, much higher, which I didn't sign. I told waitress, she said the higher check was not processed thru credit company. The next day both charges appeared on credit card bill. Three calls to restaurant, one speaking to General Manager, said he would take care of problem. Never did, my bank rejected charge as bogus. Not a good start for a newly reopened restaurant.

Was looking forward to going to Alexanders after it reopened, but once we got our meal, we soon realized that we would not go back. The prime rib I ordered was not edible. There was no flavor to anything on my plate.

We went to this restaurant because of its proximity to the Marriott. The kids menu was weak - they had pizza that was not fully cooked. The pesto Caesar sounded great, but not much pesto and the dressing was overpowering and tasted store bought. The prime rib was okay, but didn't have the typical burst of flavor you find on the crust of a steak. My wife couldn't find a main meal, so just had the crab soup and the pesto salad. Richard our waiter was great, and they have a solid, reasonable wine list.
Unusually small portions, with a rather expensive bill attached. If you want to spend and lot and still stop for a cheeseburger after then this is your place.
