Very touristy, the two dishes we ordered were nearly the same and neither one matched the description on the menu. We basically had two kinds of fish, both with mashed potatoes and carrots and the same bland sauce. They rushed the food out to us and we were finished in less than 45 minutes. The only thing good was the wine and the beer we had. Used to be a favorite restaurant before. Not impressed at all.
OUR RESERVATION WAS NOT READY, REQUESTED WINDOW SEATING WAS UNAVAILABLE AND WE WERE TOLD SEATING WAS ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. AND SO WERE PLACED IN AN ANCILLARY PART OF THE RESTAURANT. WE WERE TOLD THAT IT WAS NOT A GOOD IDEA TO USE THE INTERNET FOR A RESERVATION. THE FOOD WAS SATISFACTORY BUT CERTAINLY NOT ABOVE. I WOULD DEFINITIVELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT AS THERE ARE MUCH BETTER RESTAURANTS IN HILTON HEAD.
Great close location to where we stayed but service was always very bad attitude. Paying full American dollar but always feel staff to superior.
The food was OK, the service rushed, and not friendly. Had to ask for the bread assuming from the plate and knife set on the table that there should be some offered.
We arrived 10 minutes early for a 7:30 reservation and had to wait 15 minutes to get a glass of wine as the bartender was busy chatting up some friends. We were seated 15 minutes late for a restaurant that was about 2/3 full. The salad came quickly, but the main course took 1 hour to arrive. Booked my reservation thru OpenTable for intimate dinner with my wife on Valentine's Day. Only gave me three times to book for that date so I booked at 5:30pm. I will never understand why we were seated by the loud Bar for an intimate evening for a $70.00 per person menu when the Rest. was almost empty. My wife and I have been visiting this Rest. for over 15 years with lots of fond memories. It is sad that those memories were lost in one evening because mgt. was not attentive to guest surroundings.
