Get directionsThis was the second visit in a 4 week period. The first was to unclog a shower and a couple weeks later, the kitchen sink wouldn’t drain. The technician came out and told me what he would have to do and the cost which was extremely unreasonable. I called another company to get another opinion Was told by them the first visit unclog the shower was not done thoroughly thus helping create the kitchen clog. The company I called for a second opinion fixed the drain and also fixed a leak and replaced some o rings for less than 1/2... read more

I am very sorry that you are unhappy with your recent experience with our services. I really wish you had called the office to let us know how you felt. We always work with our homeowners and I still would love to discuss this with you. I do see on your last invoice we did give you an option to clean both the kitchen sink drain and the shower drain by cleaning the line from the roof access. You chose to only clean the shower drain for the discounted price. I am very sorry that your kitchen sink did back up, but the shower is... read more
The service rep arrived and called to give me an estimate, about $900 to repair two leaky showers. I said to go ahead. He called back and left a message that the fixtures were so badly corroded that the service would cost more because they would need to be cut out. At this point I went to have a look. I sprayed the fixtures with some rust blaster, went to the hardware store and got new seals. I was able to take the fixtures apart with a little patient effort and make the repairs. Total cost under twenty dollars. I would not ... read more

I am sorry for your experience with our company. We did attempt to remove the shower valve cartridges, but when they would not come out and we did not want to damage/ break the shower valve body. When you torque on the shower valve cartridge it can mark up the shower valve body which will cause the new seals to leak prematurely, or even worse the valve will break and we will have to replace it at no charge. We did attempt to call you to inform you of this, but we were unable to reach you by phone. We did leave with no charge... read more
Serviceman came and looked at bladder in basement. The breaker would trip intermittently and was not tripping while he was there. He said it could be either wiring from well house to basement or wiring to pump in well. Could also possibly be pump in well. He did not check wiring at well or do any other tests.. Recommended replacing wiring in well first and said it was about same price to change out pump at same time so should do that. Just over $5000. Another almost $4000 to redo wiring to basement but would deduct $1000 fro... read more

I am very disturbed after reading your review. I am very sorry you are disappointed with your free estimate and I feel there was a miss understanding. When we arrived everything with your well was working as it should and my technician should not have given you pricing for any services until we could see the issue first hand. He did give you pricing for the worst case scenarios but was not prepared to do any of that work until we could see the issue first hand. I greatly apologize for the miss understanding have talked to th... read more
We had our water heater totally replaced - labor and all - for $1300 from a different company . . Practical Plumbing.
Business response:
I am very discouraged to hear this. It seems that there was a great miss communication. Our estimates are all inclusive. We never charge parts and labor. The estimate you received did include all labor that was required to install a professional quality water heater that is purchased from a plumbing supply house. We also stand behind our warranty for 6 years and the other price was for the 10 year warranty. There are no tricks or scams here. We stand behind all parts and labor. I will be glad to review this estimate to make ... read more
Showed up on time, went right to work. Completed work but I had to have him come back. Outside faucet still leaking. We had a misunderstanding over the cost of replacing that faucet. I ended up paying 283.11 to have an outside faucet replaced. I also found out my neighbor had a plumber install the same water filter I got for half what I paid. I think I was taken advantage of for being a stupid widow who didn't know what this type of work should cost.
Business response:
I am very upset about your review. I wish you had called to let me know about your frustration. I can assure you that we never take advantage of anyone and we price everything out of a pricebook to ensure that all of our homeowners receive exactly the same pricing. We always offer upfront pricing with no charge or obligation to do the work. I know that there aren't many professional companies that do that anymore and I feel that is the only fair way to do business. If you felt the price was too high you could have declined t... read more
When the Plumber Richard Wade Came to the house to give us an estimate on replacing the circulation pump (Jet Pump) He gave me an estimate of 0ver 2800.00 I told him that I can get a pump for around 400.00 and wanted to know what type of pump I was getting. He replied I don't know its the best and we give you a warrantee. Richard told me that The pumps you can get are junk I told him I can get the same pump that is on the house that lasted 18 years. He replied again it was junk. I asked again what type of pump I would be get... read more

I am very sorry you are upset with your free estimate. I do believe this is a misunderstanding and I do want to apologize for that. I do have a copy of the estimate here. It does look that you would not accept the written copy of our estimate due to the fact that you were upset with the price. I will be sending your copy of your estimate in the mail today for your reference. Your proposal does list 2 different options which listed the manufactures name for a Goulds or a light commercial Grundfos constant pressure pump. $2,80... read more
Very nice and professional over the phone and extremely friendly technician. They were very prompt to come out and inspect why my well water wasn't working. After testing a few things, the technician determined that a switch in the bottom of the well needed to be replaced, which meant that everything in the shaft needed to be replaced and quoted me almost $5800 for the job. At that price, I decided to get another quote and opinion. Second company I called, A 1st choice, came out and first inspected the water tank and amperag... read more

Thank you for taking your time to review our service. I want to start off by saying I am very sorry for the miscommunication between my technician and you. As a service company is it our job to clearly diagnose and explain the repairs needed in a manner that is easily understood by our clients. I don't feel like that was done for you. The first step in diagnosing a well issue is checking the cycle of the well system itself and that starts with the pressure tank. My technician did test the pressure switch and pressure tank to... read more
Called to report no water from well. Richard came out as soon as he could & replaced pump & had water back on before dark.
Business response:
Thank you for taking the time to review our service. A well pump and pipe replacement is never a small job and always needs to be taken care of quickly. When a well pump goes bad it is always better to go ahead and replace the pipe and wire while the well pump is removed from the casing. This ensures that everything with your well is new and will last without issues. Sometimes a bad wire or break in the pipe is what caused the well pump to go bad and if that isn't repaired it will make the new well pump burn up prematurely. ... read more
He showed on time and did a good job on getting our drain unclogged in the bath/shower. It had about 1.5 inches of standing water in the bath/shower and he charged us 226.57 to vaccum it out. Way to much. He stated that it was an unusual condition. I would say that is a usual condition for a plumber.
Will not be using this company any longer.
Business response:
Thank you for taking the time to review our service. I am very sorry to hear that you feel like the price was too high, but I am glad to hear that the rest of the service went exceptional. I want to start off by saying I will personally review the invoice and call you to discuss your discrepancies. Working in sewage is a common occurrence in our line of work, but it does usually incur an additional charge. This is due to the fact that sewage is classified as a hazardous waste and is known to cause severe infections and/ or d... read more
