Dishonest and coercive. On Sept 19, I was quoted $627 for a 2-2.5 hour move and paid a $100 deposit. Once my things were on the truck, the movers raised the bill to over $1,200 to deliver to the first floor and more than $1,500 if I wanted items moved upstairs. They refused to unload until I agreed. This bait-and-switch is unfair and exploitative. Students and families should avoid this company at all costs.
HORRIBLE company to deal with. I was quoted an hourly rate to move from Cleveland, GA to the Atlanta area for 2 trucks and 2 crews. Less than 24 hours before the move, they called and said this would have to be a move based on weight and distance and quoted me 2 trucks at $6000 per truck!!! It didn't cost me that much to move all of this stuff from ARIZONA!!!! The bait and switch is inexcusable, and these people are absolute thieves!! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!!!
We used All My Sons Moving & Storage for both legs of our move from Atlanta, GA to Naperville, IL this July. It was a complicated move with three weeks between move-out and move-in, and while the coordination initially seemed smooth, the unpacking process revealed major issues. Upon arrival, we discovered significant damage: our marble dining table cracked in half, a motorcycle helmet destroyed, a decorative clock broken, and all the hardware for our bedroom furniture missing, leaving it unusable. I should have read the reviews prior to booking because as the reviews mention, they quoted me a price and then I owed DOUBLE of what I expected to pay based on that quote. Give or take, maybe $100-200 more just because it took longer than expected (not sure why). A quote obviously is not the final price but this is not my first time moving and I've never been quoted something and then in turn changed $400 more.. Definitely would never use them again.
I wish I could give zero stars. This was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had--with a moving company or otherwise. All My Sons quoted me 3-4 hours for a simple local move, then dragged it out to nearly 8 hours with no urgency, constant phone use, and a complete disregard for the detailed move plan I provided. They used no protective materials--no floor runners, no padding--despite this being standard practice for other customers. never will use this stupid company again.... scammers, liars, and annoying.... $1000, if you have a one bedroom apartment by the way.... time is utilized the whole period, breaks or not... the movers were really nice though.
Absolutely terrible experience with the group out of Athens. I don't know where to begin because this was the worst moving group I have ever worked with. To start, they gave us a quote which was less than half of what the final amount turned out to be. Second, they were supposed to send three people for the move. If I could rate them a ZERO, I would. Absolute worst moving experience EVER. They sent two movers with bad attitudes and zero work ethic who took items out of my basement, put it on the truck, decided the entire job was too much to move, and then removed the items while I was on the phone with their manager (who was instructing them to move what they could).
