My husband and I recently used this company for the first time. We've moved many times before but this time, we were so busy that I only booked the mover two days in advance. All My Sons were very kind and worked with our moving schedule without a problem. They also provided the certificate of insurance that my building required. All went well until the actual day of the move. The movers were very polite and explained how everything would work. We were weary because this company charges hourly but none of our previous move... read more

I'll start by saying, I ended up cancelling my scheduled move with this company because of the experience with the back office team, so I can't comment on the actual quality of work done by the moving staff. I submitted a request for a quote online. About 20 minutes later, I got 3 phone calls and messages within 15 minutes (not really enough time for me to get the first message and respond before they called again). When I answered the 3rd call, I spoke with a representative who asked me detailed questions about what ne... read more

I moved with All My Sons in May and had an absolutely awful experience. The move was a 1BR apartment to a local storage unit 3 miles away. I was initially quoted a price of $149/hr with a 3h minimum. While pricey, it was during a peak time of year for moves and I had several large pieces of furniture that I was not able to move on my own so I went with this company. The movers were scheduled to arrive at my place between 7-8AM; they arrived well after the fact. There were 3 movers and they took a very slow time loading up th... read more

I had a very small local move (small studio) back in May. I called around, and found that all the major companies, including All My Sons, were about equally expensive, with All My Sons actually being somewhat more expensive at over $300/hour, whereas other places were $275/hour or so. However, other places had a three hour minimum and some charged additional for the time it would take for their truck to drive from and back to their warehouse, whereas All My Sons told me that they only had a two hour minimum. I specifically a... read more

I'll give the good, the bad and the ugly. Starting with the booking phone call, it appears to be a centralized process. Once your location is determined, you're routed to the local office. The quote process was pretty standard. They have a 3 hour minimum (including 1 hour of drive time to your home). I found this better than other movers since they had 4 hour minimums. I requested a morning move. They email you confirmation of your quote and scheduled move time. I got a call 2 days ahead of my move giving me my time wind... read more

1) The entire crew was smoking when they arrived. I found cigarette butts both at my former residence and in the driveway of my new home. 2) I paid for a full-move. When I came back to my former residence to clean, I discovered 2 bathrooms and 2 closets omitted from packing, not to mention shreds of packing tape all over the house. I had to take additional time to pack these areas. 3) I had to request floor pads for the move as I thought was customary with all moving services. These pads were dirty and didn't do much to ... read more

The guy who came out to do the quote was fine and we went with AMS due to them offering the lowest price. Weve moved many times over the last few years, between states and had never had any issues or broken dishes. This was our first move in CT and was barely a 3 mile move. The movers were not very careful with our stuff. We had many dishes broken, packed unprofessionally into the kitchen boxes. During the move (and I should have seen this in other reviews) the movers took many breaks to smoke and didnt really hustle, wh... read more

I had a terrible experience with All My Sons. Do not believe anything that was written on the prior reviews. Three pieces of my furniture were broken - a mirrored side table, a dresser and my tv! Luckily I noticed that my mirrored side table was damaged before they left but as I was unpacking I noticed that one of the legs of my dresser was damaged and when I plugged in my tv the screen was cracked. They even packed the items themselves. The movers were obviously not careful enough and probably threw my furniture on to the ... read more
