They quoted us $179/hour and then when the bill came due they charged DOUBLE! They dawdled around chatting up a storm after I reminded them that this was hourly. One of them said it was his first day and he was on his phone more than he was moving furniture. This is the worse moving company I have ever experienced. First they sent 3 workers , only 2 workers actually did any work. The 3rd guy continued to slack off and not work , he asked my husband if he knew where to find weed. During the move 2 of the guys got into an argument about how much they make an hour. The company tried to charge me extra because the move took longer than anticipated but that was due to the movers arguing and not doing the work. They turned up on site, failed to do the job, the crew was completely unprofessional and to make matters worse they managed to damage the property. Purcell movers however did a fanatic job. As we hired them after and they executed what all my sons could not do.

Stay away from this moving company unless you like being taken advantage of. They move as fast as molasses and up charge for packing materials like tape and shrink wrap. 3 guys to move a washer, dryer, portable dishwasher, a table w/ 4 chairs, 1 bedroom set, and a mattress. It took them 3 hrs. Needless to say a quote of $600 turned into $1000. They said they used 6 rolls of packing tape and 6 rolls of shrink wrap (1 dresser was wrapped). And the move was less than 1 mile away. STAY AWAY!!!
The driver showed up 6 hours late and wanted to almost double our quoted price due to numerous up charges. The Original Quote was: $6,286.07 and with upcharges the new quote was: $12,100.00.
This place I would never ever recommend! For the price, it was absolutely outrageous and still no one will get back to me!! I did the 2 hour minimum and the 1 hour of drive time they require, so add that up at $159.00 a hour... it took them one hour to load my small 950 square foot apartment up and then one hour drive time to my new place (which was not a hour away but only 18 minutes) then it took less then a hour to unload my stuff from the truck because I had others helping (which the movers said was fine it would cut dow... read more
I would never recommend anyone using this company. They are a bunch of frauds. They lie to you about pricing. They give you one price and then they double it. And when you try to talk to them about it Managers Mike and Sam just yell at you on the phone. Tell you nothing matters just pay you’re bill. They have no regulars for customers. They purposely do not show you a final bill u til after you sign so that they can up you’re charge with you’re signature on the form for the up charge. Absolutely would NOT recommend ! Pricing is misleading and they add miscellaneous costs and hope you won’t catch it. The movers were pretty good. Al really knew what he was doing leading the crew. However, they try to charge you for the time the GPS says they arrived but not the time they actually start working. I was given a quote, and made a deposit.
