I have had to move several times for my job over the years, and have always had a pretty decent experience. Have used Allied, Mayflower, 2 Men and a Truck... Then I had the misfortune of using a "Local" moving company here in Bluffton, SC. What a mistake. They were soooo nice in giving me the estimate and telling me how great they are. Then the truth comes out in the move. They damaged numerous items of furniture, and claimed they didn't do it. I used this moving company to pack my personal items, moved me to their storage and they overcharged me for the move. i then could not get anyone to move me out of there storage because of their reputation so I had no choice to use them again. this time they destroyed brand new furniture and took items that from my home. I would advise anyone who is looking to use them not to .they will destroy four stuff take from you and over charge you at the last minute that if you won't pay they won't give you your stuff. horrible is no... read more

I'd give them a zero star if I could. We hired them to move a pool table frame from my parents' house in Hilton Head to our home near Denver. Disaster from the start. First off, they could not understand the logistics of the move (i.e. when we would actually be at our house to receive the shipment). No matter how many times we told them "this week we will not be home" they would call to say that's exactly when they wanted to deliver. But the worst was yet to come. Written Statement Background on the homeowner- I am a sixty year old woman who just lost my husband in October 2013 and my sister in February of 2014. They did a basically good job on the move but there was minor damage. Not only was it not taken care of but they will not return my calls. This has been going on since April. I guess I am just out the money for repair. Definately do not recommend!

I can't tell you about the people they hire or the service they provide. There were no dings, dents or breaks. There were no workers. They failed to show up...for 8 hrs. We had a small set of slightly heavy, awkward pieces we needed moved 2 miles from our 2nd floor apartment to a ranch house. I checked one website and they had a 3.2 out of 5 rating so I called and got this long winded speech about family and local. I didn't actually end up using this company for moving since they tried to charge me $120 for their driving time to show up and then drive back to their office. I was not made aware of this fee until they did show up so I asked the manager if he could work with me and split this cost. He would not so I told the guys that I weren't using them. Great business model! They showed up and left without getting paid a dime. The new company that I am going to use says that it is actually illegal for a moving company to charge this ... read more

I had 2 men and a truck move me from Aiken to Hilton head and they loaded, unloaded, and made the trip in 9 hours. All My Sons sent 3 guys who took over 76 hours just to load the truck, and then they proceeded to break furniture. Horrible experience and horrible service. I would not even recommend them to anyone, even people I do not like. They are a rip off!

This move was a complete nightmare. First the estimate wasn't even close in regards to the time it was going to take and the price it would have cost to move everything that we requested. Next the three movers showed up an hour late and the driver was clearly under the influence of drugs. He was high as a kite. They weren't even briefed by management of what was supposed to be moved.
