This was the worst moving experience that I've ever had. We used the company in Richmond, Virginia. It took them 16 hours to partially complete a move out of a 2800 sq.ft. home. All of our boxes were packed and labelled according to which rooms they were to be brought to, yet they still asked questions, and STILL did not get them to the right rooms. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly GOOD I invited Cavelle (estimator) into my home to provide an estimate. He was very professional, nice, and sold me on All my Sons. My move was 6/12/17, three guys arrived on time, they introduced themselves, we had a walk-through and they got started. The guys were pleasant, and nothing was broken during the process. Did a good job on the move but put a hole in my wall and have been terrible to work with trying to get it fixed. I understand mistakes happen and the movers on scene were very apologetic and told us right away but trying to get it fixed has been an awful experience. You call the number and just get bounced around. What a joke. Plenty of other companies to work with so go ahead and avoid
What is okay about just not showing up on my move date? I called and they said there's been a misunderstanding and they don't have a crew today. No apology. Unacceptable. Moving quote was $2000, that's ALOT of work for just my husband and myself.
This company is a rip off, especially for single women. They quoted a friend a price of $257., then charged her over $1,000 to off load everything. Told her it would cost that much and they threatened to take it away. Oh, the move was only one block away. On top of it all, they kept asking her "where's your man?"..... "cause he was here this wouldn't have happened..." What kinda shigitty business is this? Ladies, keep away.
As I've yet to hear back from your company AGAIN, here is a posting of my experience. I hope others out there heed the warnings of others who have had similar situations. I'm sad to end my relationship with All My Sons as the Austin, Texas team was wonderful. Yesterday a client closed on a home and had hired "All My Sons Moving & Storage" The move was from a 2 bedroom apartment in Short Pump to a house off of Lucks Lane in Chesterfield. Approximately 27 miles!!! The 2 clients are my age and the Father is very ill! I get a call from on of the Children in NY asking if I will please go by the house, as the movers are refusing to unload until they are paid in FULL. First and foremost this is "illegal" .
