Server was not trained well for the new Valentines Day menu, no fault to him but management definitely needed to do better to prepare for Valentines Day service, seating outside was subpar at best. Inside ambiance was amazing but yet no tables were available even though I scheduled my reservation a month in advance. We were so disappointed with our experience at Allegro on Sunday night. We chose it to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it was our first time dining there. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. We waited a very long time for our food, even as tables around us — who had arrived after we did — were served first. We asked twice how much longer it would be and were told it was coming, but the wait continued. Very long wait. They over indexed during Valentine’s Day and could not keep up serving customers. The cooks took wayyy too long to give out course meals they had set up. Others that came later got food much quicker although we were seated first.
There was no mention of a fixed menu for Valentines night. When arriving to our reservation, we were asked to wait over 25 min since there was an overbooking of guests. This was underwhelming as we’re were aware of the limited availability due to the date, thus making it difficult to enjoy. I dont like writing people bad reviews. I dont know about the other days but do not come on Valentines' day. I have been to restaurants on Valentines every year and totally understand its busy everywhere, but bad services and food is okay.
The reviews are right. Do not come here. One of the word dining experiences we’ve ever had.
I don't even know where to get started. One, i reserved on opentable and NOWHERE did it say that they would have a fixed menu for valentine's day, which is fine, but the price for that three course meal was not worth it AT ALL. Two, they placed tables so close together that multiple times people hit us with there behinds and the tables and people were inches away, because they were inches away MULTIPLE times waiters REACHED over me to get to another table while i was eating which is so unprofessional. Fixed menu for twice the price of a typical meal here is insulting. The service was absolutely terrible and the food portions were smaller. Won’t be going back. $200 for two people is ridiculous for this level of service and food quality.
Even the good service could not save this dining experience. The food was awful. The ceasar salad was average at best. The bread was just okay. But entrees were terrible. The scallops and lobster were served over what was supposed to be lobster mashed potatoes but there was zero lobster and the poured a sweet lemon sauce that tasted like a dessert sauce all over the top.
