"I bought a Square Trade warranty a couple of years ago for the radio in my boat that I bought through E-Bay. I had never heard of the company before but figured since I didn't know if the warranty from the manufacturer would be covered because of how I bought the radio I would give it a try, and besides that, the cost was very reasonable for 3 years coverage. "Have about 10 warranties currently with Squaretrade and just made my first claim. Process went very smoothly and the customer service reps were great to deal with. They now offer an amazon.com gift card as one of the ways to pay you. If you choose the gift card they add 5% to what you originally paid for the item. It was an easy process and will continue to use them for all of my electronics. Prices can not be beat."

"I took a chance, deciding to sign up for this warranty even though I really knew nothing about the company, but it was offered on a Palm TX I purchased on eBay. I never thought I would have to make a claim so just filed the information. Opps! I was wrong - recently my Palm began to fail and finally it was unusable. "Two years ago I bought a warranty for my car DVD player. The touchscsreen and display went out on it a couple weeks ago. After submitting a claim to Squaretrade, I had a check for a replacement in the mail in a little over a week. The whole process was seamless and easy. Just ordered my replacement DVD player, and a squaretrade warranty for it as well!"
