"I currently have seven warranties with Square Trade. I had a desktop computer that went belly up and within one week I received a check covering my original purchase. I know some folks think that warranties are a waste of money, but as cheap as they are at Square Trade, it would be unthinkable for me to NOT purchase them for items that I buy."
"This was my first claim with Square Trade. The service was good enough that I bought two more warrantees since. The person on the phone was very courteous. However, BE WARNED: Their policy is not to cover parts of your product that can be repurchased separately. So, if you have a Bluetooth headset, and all the ear-clips break, and replacements are on the market, they will not cover you. They won't even pay for the ear clips. "I purchased a care plan from SquareTrade to cover my iPod Touch I ordered on eBay. The iPod quit working after having it for nearly seven months and I filed a claim through SquareTrade. I was amazed at how quick their customer service was when it came to filing the claim. "I bought a warranty for a Roomba vacuum because they are prone to have problems and the warranty was only 90 days. My square trade warranty was very inexpensive so I considered it cheap insurance. Sure enough after I had the Roomba for a year,it quit working. I contacted Square Trade, they provided a pre-paid shipping label and no more than a week later, the full purchase price of the Roomba was deposited in my pay pal account. "SquareTrade performed just as I had read in other reviews. I called them when my computer was accidentally broken, explained what happened and was told I had the right coverage. Sent my computer in to be examined and had my money refunded in about 3 days. I will definitely use them anytime I need a warranty."
"I purchases a SquareTrade warranty on a 2-player portable DVD player set from Wal-mart. About six months after the manufacturer's warranty expired, both units failed to play DVDs properly. One player refused to load any DVD, the second unit failed about a month later, and skipped and paused on nearly all videos. "I ordered a phone off of Ebay and decided since I had had some trouble with my last phone, that it would behoove me to purchase the warranty from SquareTrade. Plus, it was so cheap that it was really hard to say no to it. Within 3 months, my phone speaker went out and I basically couldn't call or recieve phone calls. "I have several warranties through Squaretrade. I have used two. The warranty on my laptop was handled quite well, although it was an agonizing ten calendar days without it. Everything went smooth and my laptop works great. The other was on my HP Slimline Desktop. That didn’t go as smooth.
