"Square trade did not get me services for my PS3, I did. They gave me the run-around. I called sony myself not square trade. They put in their notes that I would be taking the system back to the retailer for an exchange.How was I suppose to do that when my warranty exspired 1/20/2009. I purchased a PS2 last month but I do not have a warranty with square trade, I have it warranted with another company "

"I purchased an Xbox 360 on ebay, applied and was accepted for a warranty with Square Trade. The Xbox video is malfunctioning and I wrote to Square Trade for a replacement or refund as promised in our contract. This is the letter I received from Square trade regarding my warranty. "I have had warranties that have took weeks even months to receive. Take it to the store then the store can not do anything then take it home ship it to be shipped to factory or the classic you call and get the run around and put on hold. But this was so exciting, access site register claim print label drop to ups they recieve they respond money deposited and all within 2 days for me!!!!!!! That was GREAT!!! "I've been using squaretrade for my warranties for some time now based on good reviews. I bought a HDTV off ebay and it recently started having issues. One seemed to be with the lamp, which they don't cover. That's standard for these warranties. The other was that HDMI and Optical Audio out stopped working on it. They sent a tech to check it out and the tech determined it to be a motherboard issue. Unfortunately, they couldn't repair it because that part was discontinued so they refunded me the full amount I paid for the TV.... read more
"Let me first start off by saying ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I bought a cell phone from ebay about three months ago and was offered to purchase a warranty from Square Trade for the phone. I wasn't going to at first, but the price they offered for a two year warranty was so low that it couldn't find a reason not to. "I bought a warranty on a used car CD Changer that I bought through eBay. I was required to buy the warranty within a month of buying the item on eBay. The warranty went into effect a month after I boughtit. After using the CD Changer for several months, it stopped working and wouldn't even eject the cartridge or anything. "Experience with this company is a mixed bag. They did pay for the item I purchaged warranty from them, after a tough fight and long wait. First, They claimed their service is much better than competators. However, what they did not tell you is they do not keep repairing your item again and again, like the warranty you got from manufactures. They only repair it till the cost equal to the value of the item. So even if you bought a warranty from them for 2 or 3 years, if they repaired it once in couple month and cost half of t... read more
