They have a wander guard option. The staff is very caring. I would recommend to others.

What we like the most about Alta Vista is the facility and staff are great but you still need to be proactive and bring any issues immediately to their attention. So they can address it.

I am truly pleased with Alta Vista. My mother (90) lived with me for the last two years I was her full time caregiver. We wanted the best for her, of course,but it was necessary for me to go back to work. I am so pleased with the care and kindness she has received this past month. I was so nervous about how she would respond to not being with family but she repeated tells me how happy she is at AVSL. She has been welcomed by staff and already has a group of friends. All the staff are very friendly! [name removed] made our transition so easy . She was definitely the one that convinced us this was where we needed to place our family member! Due to her caring about the residents!The facility is immaculate! The food in the dining room is delicious and they give several meal options! The staff has great communication! Lots of activities and a printed monthly newsletter!we love that our family member get his room cleaned and laundry done weekly! The executive director always has an open door ... read more

The staff here are friendly and helpful. The activity director [name removed] is always committed to provide fun events and decorations for the Holiday and the different seasons of the year. She makes the events enjoyable and gets folks here to participate at social events. We really notice & miss her sparkle when she is not at the music events. The staff members are always ready to give assistance. A real plus to make one feel comfortable here.

My experience with Alta Vista is ok, not great though. The staff is pretty good. They can stand to hire more personnel. The food is OK, it can be better. I believe the facility need more outside activities.

We chose Alta Vista basically because of cost and value. They met out budget, it's in reasonable location and they were clean.

We live 75 miles away and if there is anything they think we would like to know we get a call. A couple of times [name removed] was having trouble with her phone and one of the staff made the call to us on [name removed]'s phone. The nice part about that was we were able to talk to the staff member and [name removed] at the same time. Very nice people to work with.
