I’ve been paying the service for almost 4 years now. I’ve used the services once. I tried to use them a few more times but it takes more than 24 hours to send someone. When it’s an emergency (like ac not working on July) you still have to wait 24 for them to send someone and on one ocasion it was more because the provider was super busy.
I did the service request (for our microwave) online on a Saturday. On Monday, AHS rep called my husband and they set up the appointment for a service on a Thursday. It was the 1st available for a morning service. When the tech came, my husband said he was professional and he fixed the microwave fast. Overall, we had a great experience though this was our first service through AHS.
I am really satisfied with AHS. They have always been there when I needed a repair done. I would recommend them and I have to my friends and neighbors.
I have been with American home shield for over 20 years ,we have had to have a few appliances replaced. their customer service persons have always been helpful ,but this time I was on hold over 20 mins on a follow up of a replacement for my washing , and the canned background music was bad ,
My upstairs heat pump went out. I requested service and the technician came the next day! Fixed the problem quickly. What would have probably cost $300, only cost my deductible of $100. Wow!

The electrician was efficient, checked everything in the house, and was very knowledgeable. He kept me updated about when he would arrive .
So far this is my 3rd request for service from American and they have come to my rescue each time. No wait time and no refusal to help. Thank you!
Had a plumbing problem. Went on line requested a plumber. Was given information immediately of a plumber. They were able to accommodate my schedule.
