We purchased a carport earlier this year. It was a mess from the start. Talking to ma y different people. They came and installed it, 3 days later it blew over and smashed. I tried contacting the company multiple times on different occasions leaving many voicemails. I never received a call back. The structure was beautiful, I now have a 5000$ pile of scrap metal.

I had a building put up from american steel they come out couldn't speak much English didnt secure building right didnt seal windows leak bad messed up my concrete didnt center building up on concrete screws left all over my yard scratched metal all up scratched doors up put a crappy mobile home door in moved my personal stuff around in my yard that wasn't close to site there the most unprofessional business ive dealt with they ****.

This is one awful company. They do not care about the customer and their Sub-Contractors just wanna do a rush job and get in and get out, therefore leaving the customer with many issues, like five roof leaks within 12 hours of install. Im a licensed contractor and I cant say enough bad things about this company and the way they handle their business. Steer clear of them and watch to see what other 3rd party companies use them as their supplier/installers.

The workers were polite, but the package was built wrong for the lay out I described to them.So I had to lend them my welder to fix the lay out.I didn't order the roll up doors with the building because I wanted insulated doors, but the fabrication didn't include the framing needed to install the door track, and the installers called the service Department, and they refused to finish the framing, so I had to do it.After the left I noticed alot of gaps at the roof eve, and the roof cap.The package the installers picked up did... read more

Took the deposit on 3-5-24, told us 3-5 weeks for delivery.Told them 5 would be better for us. Contacted them several times in April and only getting the run around.Finally got an install date of 5-7-24. They showed up the night before at 6:30 and wanted to get started. We informed them that we had 5 of rain the day before and asked them to stay on the driveway, they did not and we ended up with 12 ruts in our front and back yard.Eventually pulled them out with our tractor. The first building they put up was very nice. Then less than two weeks later, I ordered another one to be attached to the first one. They accepted my deposit confirmed the order then two weeks later I hadnt heard anything so I called the company they didnt have an order in their system for me, I did some more calling and even though they have pictures of the exact same thing on their website, they said they dont do that anymore. Not sure how this company has a 4.6 star but I would give a 0 if I could. I am very disappointed. The building is very poorly put together. I bought a closed shed that was told it wouldnt leak water and could be finished on the inside. I have water leaks all over the inside. Windows, door, base rail, corner trim. ***** holes randomly without screws that are leaking water. Gaps that are going to allow **** to blow in very badly when the time comes. I give two stars because the price was good and the planning was good. Everything after that has been a nightmare. The crew that came to install barely spoke any English which made explaining door and window layout hard at best. Metal panels were miscut and still installed, the man door doesnt close, water leaks under the walls and from the roof. A pretty terrible experience with American Steel. They failed to build the building to the specifications that THEY provided so it failed welding inspection. They said they would fix it, a month later they decided to remove the entire building and replace it. They failed to meet delivery times on multiple occasions, each office told me different stories and none of them were truthful.
