Crew was great. Very respectful and courteous and did what I would say is a good job. The rest of the interaction with this company was extremally poor. After working through the plans, getting permits and having the slab poured they informed me 1 week before the scheduled installation that I could not have a 12 foot high door. The customer service is AWFUL!! We were told by the dealer our carport was rated for snow. We had a snowstorm and the posts started to bow and buckle, so I contacted American Carport to see what could be done. The lady I spoke to was rude and kept talking over me. She finally told me to send pictures and they would have their ******* look it over so I did. Well I wasn't told that full enclosed 30 x 40 foot building was not going to be sealed and fully enclosed when ordered this summer and builtthis summer 2022. I have water on my 10,000$ slab of cement every time it rains and it comes through the corners as you see sunlight through the corners. Held up to the high winds however snow everywhere inside the building. I called customer service and they basically said it says they are not responsible for leaks. I started ordering my garage in April. Deposit put down, but contact did not send me a contract. Needed slab plans in July, sent generic plans. County needed stamped. Contacted in Aug for this, told I needed a contract... Okay signed contract. Oct 2, On Oct 10, said I needed to pay slab plans up front. Still waiting.. Subject, never contacted me or kept me informed. I cancelled my contract that day. Very unprofessional. Do not recommend

I had a fully inclosed carport installed. 14' X 14' X 30'I picked up 76 screws out of my yard and driveway so far.I picked up a pack of cigarettes butts out of my yard ( I don't smoke )I picked up a lot of scrap metal out of my yard and driveway. Some of the trim is put up crooked with edges sticking out.There are a good many screws that are stripped and ripping out of the walls.I have pictures if anyone is interested in seeing them.They said they will fix the problems, but that it could take awhile till they can get a crew ... read more

American steel carports came out after almost 2 years and put up the carport on May 15, 2022 well there were two ***** ends and a piece of trim network supposed to be installed now theyre telling me that the ***** ends were not included in my order which was placed in 2019 right before the pandemic hit and it took them to May 15 of 2021 to get the building put up then it wasnt completed its still not completed its been 10 months I ordered my building a foot taller than normal because I knew with the ***** end that my truck w... read more

Horrible experience with installers. Misaligned screws and bolts. **************** is terrible. Nearly impossible to communicate. I do NOT recommend American Steel.Took months to resolve. The Company would not accepted responsibility for the damage done by installers to my existing carport. Installers walked on roof with damage. The new carport .. Installers walked on the roof panels while on the ground. Holes in roof and at leaks. Simply a horrible experience.

-Make sure to ask for upgrade 26-gauge sheet metal panels if living in snowy area -Make sure to ask for cement size if new cement as cement needs to be bigger than building itself (I had to get smaller building because I had wrong cement size as they never told me what size cement, I need the cement needs to be 6" bigger to do J-Anchor bolts)-Make sure to ask for cement plans attached with generic drawings -Recommended 12-gauge framing if in snowy or windy area -If doing an overhead garage door with windows, make sure you ha... read more

This business is the pits. I ordered my building on 5/10/2021. The sales rep added the prices of the features I wanted incorrectly - twice, but I didn't double check myself so, my bad, but the company never even caught the error for 5 months. In mid August I called to inform them the site prep was complete and was told it would be 3 or 4 weeks and I'd get a call 1 week before they arrived to install my building. Guess what - no call.
