Our realtor bought this warranty as a gift ion closing. A few weeks later our clothes dryer went bang and also caused damage to the power inlet. I rang to make a claim, they said call a contractor to ***** the damage. We did the cost to repair the ************************* at around 600 dollars. They agreed it wasnt worth it and told us to purchase a new dryer and send the receipt but then said on the same call they will cover 300 of the price and then said that includes everthing . We paid 100 for the callout which we didnt... read more

Business response:

Hello Don,Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. The warranty is in place to assist with the cost of repairing or replacing specific items that fail from normal wear and tear; it does not cover everything and may not cover the entire cost. Upon review of the dryer claim, I see that the contractor quoted $418 for the repair and that the claim was approved for a reimbursement of $300. It is the homeowners choice if they would like to use the funds toward the covered repair or replacement with a new unit... read more

Wish I could give a zero-star rating. **** is seriously a scam. Seller purchased the coverage for us. When we moved in, we encountered multiple problems. As of now, I filed two claims: one for the refrigerator in the kitchen, and one for leaks in the plumbing system. Neither was approved. I don't even know what they cover. Both occasions, they got on the call with the contractors and spent a lot of time asking tons of questions. The contractors had to go to excruciating details to tell them what the problems were. Clearly, th... read more

Hello ******, Thank you for taking the time to submit your review; I can understand your frustration with the determination. This contract provides protection against breakdown of specific items due to normal wear and tear. It does not cover everything, and it may not cover the entire cost of repair or replacement of a covered item. Upon review of your claim, however, I am pleased to see that we were able to speak with you about an adjustment that was made on the plumbing claim to cover the cost of the plumbing job, less the... read more

Horrible DO NOT PURCHASE A POLICY. **** authorized a claim stating they would reimburse $500 of $2400 water heater replacement. I submitted the receipt that Lowes provided fir my on line payment - receipt references the work order number. I also sent the related project summary- an itemized invoice with same work order number and exact same balance but **** says its not a receipt and is not sending my reimbursement. When I call you can not be put through to the processing department. I will take further action against ****. ... read more

**** will not cover the actual cost of the repair. They say that we can choose our own contractor, but then use national average as the basis of how much they will pay to repair. They will not pay our actual cost of repair. After 3 years of living in our house any paying for this warranty, our HVAC coils started leaking. Our contractor quoted $2600 for the repair. **** thinks that it should be about a $1300 repair. What is the point of getting a warranty if they are not going to cover the ACTUAL COST of repair. They had cove... read more

Business response:

Hello Elliot,Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience; I can understand your frustration with the claim determination.Upon review of your claims, I see that during this contract coverage period we have been able to approve over $1,800 minus the required deductibles to assist you with your HVAC unit. In the most recent claim, the contractor needed to add refrigerant, which is not covered under your plan. Therefore the amount approved was toward the covered part, labor and service call.I am happy to see t... read more

Our HVAC unit went out and with today's prices we were offered ****** towards repair and replacement. Repairs were not guaranteed to be successful and ****** is not very helpful towards the cost /installation of a new energy efficient unit. More recently, Duke cut off our gas after a gas leak was found. ****** towards ******* plus in costs. The reason: the necessary pressure testing to restore service is not covered. It just seems wrong. I don't have a problem with customer service; I just think the underwriters or decision ... read more

Hello *******,Thank you for telling us about your experience; I can understand your frustration with the claim determination. Upon review of your contract, I see that we were able to approve both of the claims mentioned in this review. I am pleased to see that we were also able to approve your third claim for the maximum amount toward the repair or replacement of the washing machine. The warranty is in place to assist with the cost of repairing or replacing specific items that fail from normal wear and tear; it does not cove... read more

I am a realtor and have sold **** exclusively for 5 years. I purchased a premium warranty for my client as a closing gift and he renewed it. His HVAC needed replaced due to multiple issues and they refuse to pay one ***** because a faulty 'part' is under warranty. They want him to tear apart the system and pay thousands to put an old faulty part back in even though the manufacturer does not suggest it and are offering a credit towards a new system. I will NEVER sell **** ever again. I escalated the issue to my local represen... read more
