Amerigas is money hungry. They lock you into a contract without notice and everything from that point on with their company has some sort of insane service fee. I ordered propane 2 weeks ago and they delivered it but locked my tank because no one was home to sign for a leak test (they did not notify me that I had to be present at time of delivery for a leak test). I terminated my AmeriGas account on October 14, 2022. A November 13, 2022 pick-up of the tank, which still had propane in it, was scheduled, but no one from the company ever showed up or called. I called and emailed several times over the past year, but nothing happened. On October 5, 2023, I received an invoice for $161.99 for removal of the tank somewhere around September 30, 2023. I would give 0 if I could. They charge an excessive amount of hidden fees. They do not honor the prices they quote. As a new customer was told my first fill up would be $1.709 a gallon. Then my second fill would be $1.889 per gallon. When I called to order my second fill they charged me $2.889 for my second fill. They claim to have no record of the quote. But I have a copy. Jeez.. I moved into my new house in July. I've been trying to get these ppl to come fill my tank ever since then. They finally came to put propane in my new tank 2 weeks ago. But failed to hook up anything. A month ago, they came and shut off my old tank because of a leak. They refuse to look for it so I had to spend thousands on new lines and digging my own trench. This company is a waste!! DO NOT spend your money with them
They are frauds. Claimed my tank. Automatically signed me up under a contract at rates 50% higher rates without calling. Removed my tank and left ruts on a wet day. Then sent me a $300+ bill for removing the tank.
All the one star rating across the country are not exaggerating! Worst company ever to deal with. Calls are outsourced and all they do is give you the run around & update your account. They will not come out or call you & then you get excited from the automated we will be there tomorrow **************** still dont call or show!! Could somebody tell me how I can discontinue service with America's? I've been calling customer service. And I cannot understand what she's saying. No matter what number I call or button, I push. The same woman comes on. I found their delivery driver in my driveway and I told him we no longer wanted service. He came back when we weren't home. Climbed over MyGate once again and put gas. How can I stop this?
Terrible service. Cancelled with them as prices are 33% higher than any other company in area and deliveries were erratic (3 weeks beyond stated delivery date) with no contact from company nor reason why when I contacted them .3 months to refund after tank was picked up. Contacted customer "service" 4 times before I had BBB intervene. Customer service is NOT IN US - is in Philippines and manned by people who only read from script. NO OFFICES IN US! Worst gas company to deal with. Highest prices ever. Can't talk to a real person. They're a RIP OFF. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. PERIOD !!
