Very poor customer service when you call you will be speaking to a contact center in India. They have no idea when people will be out even if you tell them you have a gas leak. They also have a lot of hidden fees be careful when you have them come get their tanks they charge you $311 to pick them up. This is ridiculous and they told me they can not tell me a day they will pick up the say they have 90 days but will not contact you and they expect someone to be home. This company is a rip off stay away poor business practice.
If I could give zero stars I would. When it comes to service and customer service, they are, by far, the worst company I've ever dealt with. No one else is even in the same ball park. You can't speak to a supervisor, nor anyone in America for that matter unless you call 25 times in a row. Horrible company. They charged a tank fee when I was not advised prior to the charge. I changed companies and now they’re charging me to take their tank. Never had an issue with company I had for over 35 years and then they were bought out. I have called several times and told they would remove the charges then I get a bill with late fees. Would NEVER recommend this company.
I was over charged for the installation of a safety valve. I was told the total cost would be $100.00. After the installation I received a bill for $249.50. That charge included $99.99 for a service dispatch fee. ( trip fee). AmeriGas requested to come to my home and install the valve. I should not have to pay a trip fee. AmeriGas customer service is impossible to talk to, they are based in India.
Price gouging and then they charge you a final bill for pick up tank charge of 199.99 plus sale tax of 12.00 and the a app and service dispatch fee of 99.99 with sale tax of 6.00.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I cancelled my Amerigas service. Since my local company was bought by Amerigas, service has been terrible. Online orders were never delivered, when the tank ran out, I was charged an emergency delivery fee. The last straw was that I was charged nearly double the local average price (Amerigas -$3.95 gal when the local competitor was at $2.29 and the state average was $2.19).
After being overcharged by over $1 per gallon compared to local suppliers I decided to purchase my propane tank to sever ties with Amerigas. I purchased my tank 06/21/2021 and as of 10/29/2023 I am still receiving bills for a tank rental fee. I have called over 6 times to explain this to their customer service and each month I get another bill with late fees after they tell me my account is closed and I shouldn't recieve another bill. I was charged more than $2.00/ gallon more than other people in my area. And now they won’t refund me, since I paid the bill.
