I closed my account in August after we sold our house and then have spent 5 months trying to get them to stop billing me for the tank rental. Each month I was assured it was taken care of and the next month another statement with another n late fee would arrive in the mail. 9/9/22 they bill me $1022.6 for 375 gallons $2.139 per gallon and $140 for leak check and all the tax and service fee . 10/3/22 1 month later they bill me $708.16 for 209 gallon $3.019 per gallon. I said no , this is nonsense. Nobody’s come and fill the propane, I have a camera all over my house , I didn’t see nobody show up and just one month I don’t need another 209 gallon of gas . Nothing but issues with this company. Was on automatic delivery and they let me run out and took a week to bring propane out. Left in cold house for that long. Second time called and scheduled delivery for propane and driver came out without calling so locked the services so I didn’t have heat again. Called and they sent service text out days later and he said (which I have on ring camera) that I would not be charged for a reconnect fee due to poor service and just received a bill for 319.99 for reconnect.

Terrible business practices, incompetent customer service, and under-trained technicians. Takes weeks to get propane delivered, constant issues with deliveries. Trying to charge me $800 for my neighbors delivery, and giving me the worst time for fighting it. Billed $200+ for one of THEIR techs mistakes. Stole a unit from my property without notifying me. Worst of all, their customer service line is just full of people that never understand what i’m saying and offer little to no help.

I have had nothing but issues with this propane company from the start. I own my propane tank, but it needed to be relocated, I did not expect the bill to be as high as it was.That being said it was done and I was happy to be warm finally If you don’t pay within 30 days like any bill,late fees start, and you won’t get anymore propane so long as you owe them money. We had Amerigas for year at our ranch. Last year in the cold dead of winter we called because the tank was low and needed to be filled. We have a family with young children living in the house. We called on multiple occasions and were told it was scheduled. They never showed up. We cancelled their service and went with a local company that we could contact (not a foreign service center). Delivery whenever they want. Got 40 gallons lp in September 2023 was charged full Delivery fee when I didn't need lp. Just did it again Dec 16 Delivered 72 gallons lp and again charged me for full delivery. Also installed a meter that they can read so they know when I need a delivery and charged me for that. I would give it zero stars if it was possible. Worst and most fraudulent company I've dealt with. They have shown our tank at zero percent for months and nobody calls or comes out to refill our tank. There is no local number to call. You get directed to a call center in Indonesia where the people barely speak English and don't care one bit that your tank is empty and you're freezing to death. Amerigas charges you way too much for propane. I was on a locked price and auto fill plan which renewed yearly. I discovered that Amerigas charged me significantly more almost double the price of the average cost for propane in my area. I’ve had to call many times for a refill even though I was on automatic fill up. And, many times they’d come and not fill the tank. I am paying $4.99 a gallon for propane.
