I've been with Amerigas since they took over ********** ***here in Northern Idaho. It's always a struggle to get service since the takeover. I have 2 tanks at my home and shop. One tank at a rental property nearby that has recently been sold. Any action to the accounts has been very impossible. I tried to go to the office in Post Falls to get face to face assistance after I'd been frustrated with phone service. There was a sign saying that they no longer staffed the office and to call or go to their website. But the icing on... read more

I was charged an annual fee for their service. I called to cancel my service and have the tank removed. The tank was neither removed nor did I receive any contact for three months. I called again and was told that, basically, it had been forgotten or the order misplaced. After another month, the tank was removed. I then received a bill for a "referral" fee - I suppose for one employee to notify another employee or contractor that I needed my tank removed. I was charge $ 100 for this grand service. I was then charged another ... read more

They request you please your order to fill your tank when it’s at 30% so they have enough time to deliver it before your tank is empty. Then they will provide you a delivery window of up to 7 days after your order is placed. Then not deliver your propane within that window, and try making you pay an additional $300 to get your order delivered within a day. At which point your tank is already dangerously low, and then also want to charge you another $140 for a gas leak check. Classic bait and switch tactic to try and get more... read more

I have never written a review for any company or service I have experienced, but I felt as though I should explain my terrible experience with this company, so no other customer has to deal with terrible customer service. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I reported a gas leak multiple times over the past year with no response. I paid an additional $527.53 for fuel that leaked out into the neighborhood. We rent two, one hundred gallon tanks on an annual basis from Amerigas. It would seem as thoug... read more

I have had nothing but aggravation with company since they took over Energy North Propane. Not only are they price gauging they are also adding extra fees to my account. When I contacted them to find out what the charge was for, I was told it was a mandatory fee and they charged it to all their customers. No explanation of what the fee is actually for. They just tack it on to your account and you are forced to pay it if you want future deliveries. My husband and I are both elderly and my husband is very ill as well. Even tho... read more

If zero, stars was an option, that’s what I would’ve chosen to share. ??WARNING ?? AmeriGas gives you zero service. Avoid them at all cost. Your pipes will freeze. No propane delivered to heat your home even when you contact them for a fill with plenty of prior notice and follow their instructions. They fail on all levels to deliver and/or provide any kind of customer service. They let my tank run dry 2 times in a row. Customer care call center employees in the Philippines read from a script and don’t care about anything to ... read more

We have had repeated issues with Amerigas. This year we scheduled a refill of our propane tank and the delivery guy came, said our tank was full, and left before my husband could go out to meet him. The tank was not full, but we were able to still use our fireplace. We tried to reschedule a new service. We were told that the delivery would occur between 20-26 Dec. The delivery came on 30 DEC with no call, email, text, or update for the new date. As the tank was now empty the delivery person left it disconnected. The calls we... read more

Amerigas doesn’t deserve any stars they are simply grifters that take advantage of their customers! They showed up, unannounced to deliver 15 gallons of propane, left no proof of delivery then when I received a bill I see that they are charging more than double the price I have ever paid in the past and with their additional fees nearly $100 for 15/gallons! They are charging people 2-3 times the current rates! I called to cancel my service and they tell me we can lock in a rate @ $3.17 for the winter so I tell them that’s fi... read more

This is the most despicable company I’ve ever worked with in my life. I own multiple companies through my private equity firm and have had a long career of building firms, always with customer experience first. It’s clear the clown car leadership at Amerigas doesn’t value this sentiment or taking care their loyal customers. We’ve been without propane for almost a full week despite being on an auto-fill schedule, left with no heat, hot water or ability to use the stove and critical appliances which when having newborns is eve... read more
