Got a quote from several propane companies, Amerigas had the best price. Went to order, and they said I had to have a leak test done, because it was 2 years since I got propane from them. I still have propane in the tank, and they want to charge me $140 for leak test? They said it was a law, and they had to do it. I looked it up online, and they are required to do it, only if the gas ran out. I used to buy my propane from them all the time, but no way now. buyer beware.

We received an invoice with a charge for Tank Rental, however, the Tank in question is owned by us. We called Amerigas to inquire about the charge and to have it removed when they requested that we show proof of ownership. The Tank was on our property when we purchased our home, however, it had not been used by the previous owners during their 3 years of occupation, and therefore was not mentioned or included in the paperwork when we purchased our home. Impossible to get in touch with unless you owe them then they have an American call you . They double charged me TWICE for a delivery I did not order and stacked $300 worth of late fees on my account for a bill I should not have because I pay in advance before they deliver. They have you switch to auto pay and keep your card on file to STEAL FROM YOU ,300 dollars stolen from me under the guise of late fees I should not have . Set up new account, received bill and was considered overdue the day of receipt. I then get tripled charged 2000 in 1 month with autopay (total of 6000!) - which 2 charges did get refunded after 2 weeks and countless calls but still - their systems are very poor to do this accidentally! Finally - my 2nd month, I get billed $900 for 1 month of service for a regular 4 bedroom house - after 1 day of bill issuance, I then get an overdue/disconnection notice. Terrible company to do business with , awful customer service .Ive had them for 8 years and the prices became DOUBLE of what a local vendor would charge. Oh and they charged me 533$ to pick up my tank

Amerigas is charging me for an underground tank that is not in use by me. I ask them to pick up the underground tank or dont bill me for it. I was told they can pick it up but I would have to pay for the excavation. When I tried to purchase propane I was told If I dont pay the annual rental fee I would not be able to purchase propane for my tank which is above ground. Wow. I am not on the billing for a property I own, the renter is on the billing. I got sent to collections. I called and got the most useless person on the phone who could only repeat what was on the screen in front of me. Obviously from *****. What a terrible company. What a waste. I wish I could give a zero

As other reviews have stated.....This company is Horrible. The reps say one thing and that is not what happens. Called twice, two days in a row to tell them to tell the driver to call me because I have 7 dogs , fenced property and a locked gate. Both times I was assured I would get a call the day before and guess what? NOPE. The driver showed up and called me from his phone in the driveway. Terrible customer service and couldnt even recommend a company to repair my water heater. All they want to do is deliver gas and charge you, nothing else! There answering service is not even in the **. I changed companies and they charged me $299.98 to pick up my tank and APP&S Service Dispatch Fee (whatever that is). They bought out the good company I was with and I did not select them. I do NOT recommend this company to anyone. I have them a 1 because 0 wasnt an option.
