I have been a costumer for over 20 years. Never have I ever dealt with the amount of neglect and frustration that I have been dealing with this past week, the coldest week of the year. How could they drop the ball and not think something was wrong when they have been delivering fuel to us every 6 months that we would not be out of fuel if our last delivery was in January 2025. I wish I could rank Amerigas zero stars as they dont deserve even one. Avoid this company if you want dependable and timely delivery of propane. On my most recent attempt to get a fill up, they scheduled two different delivery dates and missed both. They did not reschedule after either missed date, I had to call to reschedule. The customer service advocates (NOT local) seemed unable to do anything except read what I could view online myself. If I could give them a -10, I would worst business ever and my whole 56 years of life they overfilled my tank and blew up my regulator, causing a gas leak. They told me it was $300 an hour for a service fee so I told them not to come out that I would fix it on my own they showed up anyway I told them to leave. He proceeded to work on my gas leak after I told him to leave. Worst customer service ever! My information was never correct. I was told numerous stories why mistakes were my fault, when they actually were the ones who made the mistake.
Id give them no stars if I could. Every interaction Ive had with this company besides for my first initial sign on has been awful! The latest one being the cherry on top. In the dead of winter completely out of propane that I cant get my gas stove to ignite and theyre telling me itll be a week before I get a delivery. Im on auto fill, theyre supposed to know my level and keep it above 30%. Im currently sitting at 6% with 3 small kids, and my mother who has a broken neck, and Covid. Dont use Amerigas! This company is the worst company I have worked with in a long time! We had a gas leak at the beginning of January. Called them, they came out and it was a faulty valve on the tank which caused the propane to leak out into our house. Thank god we were awake! a few days later I was charged a significant amount of money. A week later we thought we were having another gas leak right before the snow storm hit! Left me and my family stranded without propane (no heat, no hot water). I ordered this delivery two weeks ago. Now surrounded by 12 inches of snow and ***** degree weather. Was told my amerigas district shut down after the storm? are they on vacation? everyone else is out working! and was told to "just wait" by someone far far away. My 84 year old mother has 8% gas and has an automatic reader but they didnt bring her any gas. They said it is her fault for not taking herself off a will-call list when they put the automatic reader on the tank last year. How was she supposed to know??? Spread the word NOW! NEVER do business with Amerigas. Tell everyone you know. Sad this is an American Company - ridiculous propane rates, unreliable service deliveries, HORRIBLE customer service! I will NEVER buy from them again!
