Worst company in history, we have been trying sine May 2025 to get amerigas to fix a leak. over ************************************************************************* within 48 hours. I was promised a call back at least 6 times, I was promised priority escalation, not of it ever happened.
The house i purchased in 2025 had a propane tank from Amerigas. Needing the tank filled for winter i called Amerigas to fill it. The tank was filled. The tank is extremely old, the amerigas delivery man said he never saw that type of tank. Also a service man from Amerigas was here to attach a device from them to read the level of propane in the tank. He also commented on how old the tank is. On November 18th I run out of gas and contacted Amerigas to request a delivery, I was told that they will be able to deliver the gas on November 28th, but if I wanted an earlier they will place my request under an emergency status for a fee of $ ****** plus the charges for leak check of $ ****** that charges for the gas at $ ***** per gallon and applicable taxes.I then requested that they cancel my account and remove their tank (100 LBS tank) from my home and contracted the service of a different company that in 2 days insta... read more
We filled our gas in April because we thought we ran out. The *** told us he had to check for a leak when a tank ran out and told us we didnt have a leak. Well, when we went to turn our heat on this monthNovember, 2025, we were out. We never have to use much gas because we have a wood stove, so imagine our surprise when we found out we were out of gas after just filling tank in April and not using any gas since April of 2025. The worst gas company out there.They let my 89 year olds tank run out,& then tried to charge 300 extra for an emergency fill up. Had many bad experiences with them, as they are now the largest supplier in the **, & could care less if they lose a customer.We switched to a small family supplier.
Amerigas is an overpriced company. They are more concerned about money than they are about their reputation. I have been buying their product for 18 years and have decided to buy from a local family-owned company that will not steal my money. During this transition Amerigas wants to charge me $419.98 to pick up their propane tank.Stay away from this money hungry company if at all possible!
**************** is horrible at **********************. This past summer I scheduled with them a site assessment to install an additional tank for a new generator I was having installed. AmeriGas did not show up on the scheduled date. They left me a VM 1 day prior. The appointment was scheduled a month in advance. I've been a customer for over 15 years! I've paid 150 to rent a tank every year. I've filled my tank as my one fireplace will burn. i called to order gas today. 4.50 a gallon with 2 other local companies called one at 2.85 and one at 3.05 respectively. Also I was told I had to pay a ****** for a serviceman to check for a leak, I still have 30 percent.
