I was sceptical but it picked up the 3 known breeds and also a cheeky 4th breed … turnovers was reasonable and loved the updates.
We happened to run into Isabel’s littermate’s family this weekend and found that her results differed from ours in some significant ways, including featuring a not small percentage of a breed not listed in our results at all. Wondering if that is typical among breeds or a trick of our test?

It was fun figuring out “what” our sweet girl was! I think they nailed the breed, but her traits are much different than what they said.
I was so surprised to learn that our dog wasn’t German Shepard at all! He was labeled a GSD mix by the shelter and he did look like it somewhat but I was surprisingly emotional to find out what he’s really made of! lol We love him so much and this helps us understand and love him even more! Great product!
When I got her I was told she was a maltipoo and Cairn Terrier! Mom a maltipoo and Dad a Cairn Terrier! So I was surprised!

The results of the DNA test for my dog was a complete and utter surprise! Both his vet and the adoption agency thought Rocco was a Jack Russell Terrier mix but the results proved he didn't have any ounce of terrier in him! His ancestry is a Chihuahua, Poodle, Australian Shepard mix (Chipoo aussiedoodle). Who knew? Now, given the results of his DNA, thanks to Ancestry, we can be more aware of his medical and training needs. He has more of the Aussie personality trait above all else. He's quite the love.
