I've only attempted this place twice...very disappointing service. I understand that we're dealing with very unusual situation with the covid-19 but I brought my cat their for an appointment and was told that I could come to the parking lot and they would come out and get him. I waited a half hour for them and they came out to a car that just pulled up and parked illegally in the handicapped spot. I'm done with them. Time for a new vet!

Very bad experience, it feels cold, I did not feel that the front desk staff is nice or freindly . Overpriced, I was double charged for the same problem. The receptionist or cashier is not qualified to deal with the public, neither is a good fit to deal with people who are concerned about their pets. I will not go back. Even though I liked the doctor. But it seems the receptionist control the place and the doctors have no say.

I liked coming to this place when Dr. Gus was the vet we saw. We have had to see Dr. Clare Walker several times, and she is not knowledgeable at all. She is flighty, and guesses a lot, which is not what you want in a vet that you bring your beloved pets to. No real plan of action, try this and try that while you watch your young pet slowly die. it was the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I couldn't Believe the lack of compassion Dr. Gus has. I took my cat for an UTI which never resolved. Returned 2 weeks later for follow up. Unfortunately I was there 30 minuets prior to closing time. He basically pushed me and my sick cat who was now obstructed to go to the emergency clinic (which cost me over $2,000) because he did not want to take care of him. My family has been to the Downers Grove Animal Clinic twice. We have come away with the overall impression that Dr.Gus (the only vet) is pompous, pushy and downright disrespectful. All of the qualities you DO NOT want in someone whom you are trusting the health and well being of your pets in. We live so close to here, so we really wanted this to be "our vet". Instead, we'll be taking our business elsewhere and would suggest you do the same.

Our 14 year old family cat was brought in to see Dr Gustafson on a Tuesday and was diagnosed with a UTI. Wednesday my mother was called with the lab results from the day before. Later that evening I went to visit my mother and to check on the cat as she was ill. My mother had a difficult time remembering what she was told re: the lab results.
