Best vet ever! We've been bringing our pets here for over 20 years. They are all kind and compassionate and provide the best care - but don't recommend unnecessary treatment.
Always get in quick and the staff is always friendly! I've seen each of the vets and they are all great with our two kitties.

We first went to downers grove animal clinic about 9 months ago when we got a new kitten. We originally went there because it was the closest to our house. We have taken her there about 4 times now mostly for general care but she also had ear mites. The entire staff there has been very nice every time we went and taken great care of her. We have been clients of Downers Grove Animal Clinic since arriving in the area in 1984. Dr Gus has been our vet for three of our four Cocker Spaniels, including our boy who ate an entire rubberized check book. The staff here treats our dogs as their own, and Dr Gus is open to questions and willing to objectively review outside treatment recommendations we may bring in.
I had taken my kittens to a different vet and they hated it. They got really upset, would hiss and spit and try to hide by running back into their carrier. I brought them to the Downers Grove Animal Clinic to see Dr. Walker and the experience was completely different. They didn't get upset at all. Dr. Walker and the vet tech were attentive and patient with my cats. I really appreciated that and will definitely bring them back,
I've been a client here since three years and I am satisfied with the care and service for my dog. Overall a little costly but you can book easy appointments when in need. Warm and gentle care for your pet!
Love, love, love this place. My dog had a swollen foot for a while and we had no idea why. They suggested another xray of the rest of his body to see. We couldn't afford it at the time and I was super pregnant with my second child and we were in the process of moving. So even though I love my dog, it was just not a priority. Our family has been bringing our family dogs to the Downers Grove Animal clinic for 37 years. Most recently, my husband and I have been bringing our lab to see Dr. Gus for the past year - since she was 8 weeks old. We adore the staff here. They are all so sweet, kind, compassionate and understanding. They're always very reachable as well. Even when their office is closed they will check emails and respond in a very timely manner.
