My dogs have been going here for about a year. We adopted a puppy who has been having some challenging health problems. They are always so friendly and willing to help. If its important that she be seen then they will let me bring her in and make sure she is seen that day. I drive about 35 minutes from where I live to be able to continue to have them be my animals doctors. The front desk is very good at communicating and keeping in touch with what is going on and answer any text messages that I send.

During the COVID-19 pandemic our dog was having some minor issues that could become bigger. Newcastle Animal Hospital of Newport Hills has a great set up of drive up with your dog, stay in the car, call in, and a tech comes and gets your pet, takes him inside and checks him out. I waited some, but I get it, there were quite a few waiting too,just like me. Thanks to everyone at NAHNH for taking such good care of us!

Wait time in the waiting room and the office

We really appreciate your feedback and the 4 star review. Having walk in appointments available during the day, sometimes makes it difficult to predict wait times. We are trying some new ideas to help clients be more aware of wait times at check in and adding things like free wifi for clients who are waiting.
The tech who helped us could use improvement. Perhaps she was new.. Her behavior was a little unsettling and didn't really instill confidence that my pets were receiving the best care. Kind of all over the place and unlike my experiences with techs previously. She forgot a measurement right after taking it, used the computer calculator to figure half of a pound, talked through each step as she wrote it down, moved one animal to the bench to take a temperature.. While she is newer she has done a wonderful job assisting the doctors. I think she still needs to work on confidence with the clients, however. This type of feed back is helpful and allows us to continue to help the staff learn and grow.

Staff person took my dog and put him in a cage (kennel) as soon as I got there and I had to ask them to bring him back to me. There was no reason for him to be caged until I had talked to Dr. Olson and she was ready to treat him (heartworm). The visit was already stressful for both of us and more so if he was immediately caged.
