We have been bringing our two small dogs here for a couple of years. Dr Thomaszin is the best doctor here. He is kind and compassionate, very skilled. The staff are knowledgeable and pleasant. Yes, the waiting room is small. Leave your animal in the car if you think it's too crowded and your pet will be anxious. Yes, sometimes it's a long wait. Good service with a doc who takes the time to hear your concerns is worth the wait. That's been our experience with Dr. Thomaszin. Met with one of the other vets once and they seemed... read more

I have only taken my dogs here for vaccines before today and hadn't been that impressed with the front staff. However, the crew they have now is really friendly and knowledgeable. If you don't want to read my long review, you just need to know that Dr. Thomazin is amazing. I moved, so I started going somewhere closer. On Monday, I took my dog to a place in Renton because he didn't want to get up very much and when he did, he was stumbling. He also peed right in the living room which he's never done in the 9 years I've... read more

I love that you can walk in and be seen! Also the long hours are great for busy people. The staff there all seem to really care and love animals. So far this place has been a gem for us and our pup!

I started going to NHAH because I wanted to go to the same clinic for my dog and ferret. Dr. Thomazin has a lot of experience with ferrets and seems to like them also. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years, our ferret has had to have two surgeries to remove rubber toys he has ingested. Dr. Thomazin did one surgery and Dr. Obrien the other. He, the ferret, recovered quickly and I believe received very good care at the clinic. Healthcare for humans and animals is expensive and not always straightforward. I feel that the... read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about this clinic. I have always found them to be prompt and courteous, and the vets willing to listen and do thorough exams on my "kids" to determine the problem. Also, they have shown a lot of compassion when we have had to have two of our Yorkies put to sleep. As to prices, the services are not cheap, but they are not outlandish either. Veterenary services are expensive anywhere you go, and this clinic is either at a par with other clinics or slightly less expensive.

We have been taking our two dogs to the Animal Hospital of Newport Hills for years now. We were referred by another Boxer owner who raved about Dr. Thomazin. I have yet to have anything but positive interactions with Dr. Thomazin and would highly recommend him to other dog owners. I appreciate the hours the AHNH keeps as it allows for us to drop the dogs off before work if needed, or take them in after work for the occasional "emergency" visit without having to visit a true Emergency Vet Clinic. Yes, you do pay a fee for... read more

My husband and I have been bringing our cat here for the last 4 years. We prefer to make appointments so we avoid a wait and it has always worked out well for us. Never has there been a wait and we're seen by the Dr. no more than 5 minutes after the tech takes the cat's vitals. Last year we had an incident when our cat was urinating inappropriately and we were at a loss for how to correct his behavior. We brought him in and they ran some tests, taking a urine sample and sending it out that evening for analysis. We didn... read more

I've had a lot of pets and I've been to a lot of vets. I've yet to find any place that I just love, but I feel comfortable bringing my fur-kids here. It's a little upsetting reading all the bad reviews on here, but I've had overall good experiences. I first came here almost 2 years ago when I was looking for a decent price to get my 6 month old cat neutered. I was in a major hurry to find somewhere since no one could sleep with his nightly howling and yodeling in an attempt to attract the ladies. (Do they really go for tha... read more

Very thorough and knowledgeable veterinary practice! This is a busy practice and with the number of vets on staff they are able to provide excellent care for both emergencies and routine issues. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Techs are good at their jobs and very professional. The office staff greets people promptly and processes checkout with efficiency. During the day there are no appointment times - just come in and see the vet on a first come, first served basis. If there is a particular vet that you wan... read more
