We've been using this place for 12 years now and I'm very happy with every aspect here. The doctor we use is very knowledgable and compassionate and I have always felt she has my dogs best interest as her foremost goal. When Duke was having intestinal problems she recommended changing to a new food -- not a brand sold at this clinic, but one that was best for him. When he developed a problem that was beyond their scope of expertise they didn't say "let us give this proceedure a try", they refered me to a specialist. When my ... read more

I took our cat in for a urinary tract infection and was incredibly impressed with the professionalism and kindness of everyone at the hospital. The vet we saw was very adept at handling cats and did very well with our sometimes temperamental diva. All the staff I interacted with were polite and helpful. Both the waiting room and the exam rooms were bright and clean. I get the impression that the both the doctors and the staff at this clinic really love animals, and care about their well-being. We've taken our three dogs and four cats here for years. We've never had any complaints about their service and their vets have always given us great attention. They've also worked with us when money was tight. We went to an "emergency vet" when one of our dogs broke a toenail down to the quick. They put her foot in a used IV bag and told us to keep that on her when she went outside until it grew out. That clearly wasn't going to work so the next day we took her to AHNH. I moved here from the East Coast a little over a year ago. My big concern was finding a good vet for my two black labs. A friend recommended Newport Hills. They have been so wonderful to me and my family. It's so comforting knowing they are just down the hill. I don't know what I would do without them.

Our 14 year old chihuahua Paco passed away recently but I wanted to take a moment to thank the caring and wonderful staff at the Animal Hospital of Newport Hills. Paco had been suffering from congestive heart failure for several months. We've been working with Dr. Thomizon on his care and I couldn't have asked for better care for our dog. My English bulldog Diesel had ACL (knee) surgery 2.5 years ago. We are extremely happy with the results of a complete recovery. In my most recent visit today to address an issue where he aggravated the injury, the doctor took the time to explain everything I had questions about, confirmed Diesel had not torn out the repair, and ensured we had a clear plan for monitoring his condition. I could not be happier with the care received.

I can't say enough good things about this clinic. I've had three dogs and one with major knee issues. I did try another vet because AHONH is not close to my house, it was a pain to have to go there every month for meds. I went to CVS Group and it was very disappointing. Way more expensive, and even though I learned I needed to call before going to pick up the prescription they still wouldn't have what I had asked for. The staff and docs are always so kind and helpful for the 8+ years we've used them. Though I moved to Kirkland I still make the trek to this clinic. The prices are very reasonable and I love the walk-in arrangement (can also make appts.) We've faced several agonizing decisions for multiple pets - from an eventual leg amputation (after several surgeries attempting to save it) to end-of-life care.
