Ive been here for 2 hours with my dog with a bleeding cyst, swelling in her leg and I'm obvious pain.. so far live had one doctor examine her for 5 minutes and tell me what she would "like" to do, sent a nurse with a bill for 2400.00 to admit her to run all these tests but my dog is still bleeding, in pain and now I'm waiting for another bill just to do X-rays and clean the wound, my poor dog can't sit, has been walking around in circles for the last two hours and I'm waiting for a freaking bill so they could do something to... read more
I came to ASC with my 80+ yo Mother, on Sunday morning 8/20/17 at aprox,8:30 am with her African Grey Parrot that was her pet and companion for 38 years. Her dear parrot had been being treated for CHF for the last year and this morning the bird was gasping for air and suffering. A friend of mine has a lot of experience with police canines so he is very familiar with my dogs breed. He connected me to a local chief of veterinary surgery who also takes care of a lot of shepherds, so I might find some guidance with my dog. He was kind enough to recommend Dr Joseph, because my vet told me my dog might have one of two diagnoses. I was very excited to hear of how knowledgeable this vet/neurologist was. I was more than willing to make the commute to Yonkers to see if there was a way to definitively diagnose... read more

On March 24th, I took my beloved pet to this hospital on the advice from my vet..(she passed on the 25th) and was expected to stay until Sunday. My dog was gravely ill. The first thing I asked was which hospital was cheaper being that I'm a single parent with a son in college. She stated "the Animal Specialty clinic in Yonkers". There I went.
