I made an appointment for my 8 month old puppy to get neutered, expecting his surgery to be sometime in the morning or afternoon. I was told to not give him any food or water from 10pm the night before. When I dropped him off, I called the clinic back at 2pm and he had still not gone into surgery. After calling a second time at 4:30, he had STILL not gotten the surgery, mind you he had not been given ANY food from the previous night so he was starving and thirsty. This clinic is the worst clinic I have ever been to, I am in ... read more

Business response:

We are sorry about your experience yesterday at Archer Veterinary Clinic. We did try to call and apologize but were not given the opportunity to explain. There was a dog with an emergency uterine infection that came in that needed to be addressed right away because it can be a life threatening situation. Unfortunately this caused our surgeon to be behind in his surgeries. We do mention in the surgery letter that you receive that "Surgeries are performed sometime after 9:00 a.m and the last procedures are started between... read more

The veterinarian and staff and competent and cordial. The bad review is because they are consistently very late in seeing patients. Our most recent experience will be our last. We called at 6:25 p.m. to see if they were on time for our 6:30 appointment. They said to arrive at 6:45. We arrived at 6:45 and had not seen anyone when we left at 7:25. This is a recurring theme with Archer. I have even had them be 30 minutes late when I was one of the first appointments of the day.

Me and my boyfriend rescued a cat from a hoarding situation, we knew nothing about him at the time. He was having some trouble making bowel movements and when he did there was a little blood in the stool, I took my baby to the archer vet clinic after reading several great reviews....BIGGEST MISTAKE I COULD HAVE MADE!!! We saw Dr.Huizinga I told him the situation and wanted to know the gender, how old he was, and obviously take care of the bloody stool. He barely looked at the cat, told us he was an female that was not spayed... read more

To start, I brought my cat to Archer veterinary Clinic for her shots. The place was nice and so were the people. It was a good experience so I decided to schedule a de-claw for her as well. On the day of her surgery, I arrived at 8:00 in the morning as they suggested and checked her in. The vet tech. said they would call me during the day and let me know when she was in recovery. I did not hear from them so I called after work at 4:00 and was told she had not been admitted into surgery yet, but it would be soon. I asked wh... read more

It looks like the facility is going through a revenvation, so it is very dingy. Upon arriving for our scheduled appointment I stood at the front desk in front of many employees that ignored us. I had to interrupt them just to check in. Not only were the staff unfriendly, we were not seen by the vet until 50 minutes after our scheduled appointment! The vet did not seem to have much interest in our new dog. He spent about 5 minutes with our dog and sent us on our way. I will not be returning to this clinic and I would not... read more

beware!! dr johnson does not take responsibility for vets working for him. i took my newfoundland and a vet working for him diagnosed her problem as arthritis. the vet recommended shots for the arthritis and had me bring the dog in every week for months and months at $38 a visit. when dr johnson saw her he said it was a cancerous tumor. all of the visits and all money paid did not help the dog. meanwhile her cancer went untreated. dr johnson did not give a refund and took no responsibility. i highly recommend you fin... read more

I have been going to this vet for years with no problems in the past. I had a traumatizing experience over the weekend. My beloved older Rottweiler had a stroke or something that caused him to become unable to walk. He has had a long and happy life, but we decided it was time. I called and made an appointment to bring him in. Upon arriving at my appointed time, they could not find my file. Mind you, this is my third dog that I have brought there for all vaccinations over the years, a major surgery, and even having to p... read more

Archer Vet has taken care of three of my furry babies over the years and I'm sad to say... I've gotta move on. To start, it seems every time we come there the wait time is a MINIMUM of 30 minutes. The office staff (two receptionists in particular) is rude as well. If you ask a question they give immediate attitude and seem to brush you off. The only time they seem to treat you with the professionalism they should is when you get undeniably agitated. The Doctors (and yes, we've seen all of them) are very quick to evaluate and... read more
