We've been going to Archer Vet for about 4 years and I'm so happy with the care my dogs are receiving. We had previously gone to another Vet in Homer Glen and while we received good care, it was more than double the cost and their hours were nowhere as good. The care and the meds are very reasonable and the staff is always kind and helpful. If there was anything else I could recommend, I would!
Dr. Johnson and the staff at Archer Veterinary Clinic are wonderful. I was referred to the clinic when my dog needed extensive surgery to remove several tumors. The staff was very knowledgeable and emphatic to the situation. If I called with a question or a need for medication, they always replied promptly. After my dog recovered from her surgery I continued to take her there for nail trims and follow up care. The facilities are nice, as well as the price for service. Just brought our dog in for her annual check and shots. No long waits, super people. Our dog tends to be a bit hyper, and they are so calming and gentle with her. They take time to discuss preventative care with you (even if it will NOT result in a sale for extra meds), and never talk down to you. Have used Doc Johnson and his staff for many years with three dogs. Yes, the seemingly never-ending remodeling is a bit of a hassle, but they seem to do better than other places that have NO remodeling going on! We've got several ... read more
If there's a better veterinarian than Dr. Johnson I'd like to see him or her. I wish I could find a veterinarian half as good as him, that's closer to my house, but I can't (and I've tried). We have been going to Archer vet for 14 years. They have always been amazing at helping us keep our dogs healthy, and in helping us through tough times when necessary.
Our dogs have been patients of Archer Veterinary since 1995. The staff are always very attentive and dedicated to the health of our dogs. Today our Dog Gunner was attended to by Dr Joe and Angela. A great experience again. They took the time to make sure I understood everything and making sure Gunner had a great experience.
Have never been to a better vet clinic. I've had all sorts of animals since I was 8. About 5 years ago I was referred to archer vet clinic and by far the best place to bring ur pets. I have never experienced what these other people are talking bad about...have never waited more then 5 minutes. Great prices and friendly (but very busy) staff! A few friends had been recommending this place for a while. When I really needed to get my dogs in for vaccinations, check-up and heart worm tests, I knew the price would add up. I called my regular place and then I decided to call Archer Vet. The prices were much, much lower. My friend raved about how nice they were there too, so its not like you are getting a cheaper price for less service. I was not disappointed. This place is absolutely the best vet in Chicago. They go above and beyond for each and every pet. Dr. Johnson runs a good shop. He really knows what he is doing and so do the other vet's. The Tech's, the whole team there is just very pleasant to work with. I will never take my dog to another vet in my life. Unfortunately I just lot a Dog to Meningitis that would not respond to treatment. Archer and another specialty vet did everything they could, but there was just no recovery in sight. Sad times.
