The facility is nice and conveniently located next to Kaiser. Immediately you notice that the facility is well under staffed. Witnessed firsthand, patients or customers, waiting quite some time before being cared for as the alarms were ringing. The same was true for my father, whom we had moved from San Diego to be closer to us. His outcome was not as promising. Release or distribution of meds from the pharmacy on time were a consistent problem. We were only there for 4 days before rushing him to Kaiser before passing. Long ... read more

I have my mom who is 80 yrs old and was send to a rehabilitation center for physical therapy. After being at the hospital for a uti went in to intensive care and now not being able to walk with a walker they recommended her to come to a skill facility. Amanda was very helpful but the other personnel here like lvns and CNA have not been helpful. I have received calls from my mom at 11 at night because she keeps calling them to help her on assisting her to go to the bathroom and they don't show up so i call the nurse station a... read more

This is an update! Based on how the staff of Arlington Gardens responded when my Mother was there two years ago, I felt good with her doctor sending her there to be treated for pulmonary issues and possible pneumonia! Well after 48 Hours and no treatment for her lungs I asked to speak with the Director of Nursing after being blown off by two nurses. Well it turned out the nurses who took care of putting her in the system paid no attention to the Doctor's orders and instead of being treated for pulmonary issues she was being ... read more

HORRIBLE!!!! My father-in-law has been here for a month or so and it's been terrible. The social worker doesn't answer calls or messages. Half the time no one know what's going on. Got a call three days before kicking him out. Have to find a place for him to go since they won't even extend it to give us a few more days. It's back and forth with what's going on. We hear one thing from the social worker and a totally different thing from the doctor.

My 82-yr-old father was transferred from Kaiser to get physical therapy after 10 days of laying in a bed at Kaiser. For 10 days at AGCC, my father had only a handful of PT sessions, and none of the AGCC staff encouraged my father to get up and walk around to build up his strength. After 7 days, I was called and told he was being sent home on the 10th day "because he can walk 50' with a walker in PT." My father couldn't get out of bed by himself! So when I told the "persistent" lady from AGCC that I didn't think that was a go... read more

Let me preface this all by saying that this is one of the better places in Riverside. Just that there is a lot they can work on and that they become almost predatory in squeezing out money out of you. Stayed there for several months. The LVN nurses are nice enough and the facility is clean but they have their issues. The RN nurses they had on the other hand were not the sharpest tool in the shed. Food is usually terrible in these kind of places but not bad in comparison to other places. What sucks is everything else. I ... read more

My Mom was here for 2 months. After making zero progress & effort, she had to be moved to a skilled nursing facility. After a long, complicated history w/my Mom, followed by an estrangement, we reestablished our connection during her 2nd month at Arlington Gardens, in order be the BEST advocate I could on her behalf. I worked HARD to make sure her needs were met, which didn't endear me to the staff. Like some of the other reviews on here, it would be sometimes an hour after buzzing before someone would come to give her a ... read more

Business response:

I’m sorry Jo. We tried our best to ensure your mother’s stay and it sounds like we fell short. Our goal is to create a happy and safe stay for all patients and family members. I personally tried to ensure your mother’s time was a happy and safe one. I’m ok with my name being left on the yelp review. Is there anyway you could remove the other employee’s names? I personally appreciate your love and care for your mother. I’m glad to see that you and her have reconnected.

I purchased a pair of reading glasses for my 90 year old mother so she could see again. She is a patient at Arlington Gardens Care Center in Riverside. The same night I brought her glasses, someone removed/stole the lenses from her bedside table. Really. Arlington will take no responsibility for their staffs behavior because glasses and dentures must go missing so frequently that they have issued a no coverage policy on those two types of items. Really.

Business response:

Joe, I saw your review. I will give you a call in the morning regarding this matter to gather the details. Respectfully, Brett
