We have three rescue kitties and just adopted a dog. Having come from a wonderful pet hospital in Fremont and having had a couple of less than great experiences here in Livermore, I was nervous taking our five-year old kitty in for a first visit. The front office staff is so very good, the Vet Techs are equally wonderful. They were all informative, competent and kind - and willing to share information with enthusiasm and caring. We then met Dr. Quintana who was amazing. She was was so sweet with Chloe and with us! She... read more

I decided to go to Arroyo Vet Center after I figured out my favorite Vet doctor was now there. Dr. Michelle Kapty is hands down one of the best veterinarians I've ever met. I've had dogs and cats in my life for 44 years so I've met a few vet docs in my life. After having to euthanize my best friend of 15 years (closer to 16 years), it was Dr. Kapty that made that terrible day slightly better. I knew my dog and I were in the best hands we could be in during that time. And the compassion and patience that Dr. Kapty gave my... read more

I am impressed. I have visited many vets that claim to care for Guinea pigs that then turn to tell me they don't know what they are doing and refer me to someone else, of course to pocket the office visit fee. Arroyo nailed the problem my pet was having, he had hair loss and extreme weight loss. They fixed him right up and now he is fat, happy and healthy. His hair is beautiful again! Thank you!

So glad Dr Michelle Kapty is still practicing medicine in town! She's been our vet since Dudley was a puppy, so now that he's an old man I'm glad she's still there for him. Went into the office on Tuesday to have his thyroid level checked and to see her about him starting to limp. Her eagle eyes spotted a festering sore on the inside of his pad, so just some antibiotics and he's already good as new! Also, the prices were more than reasonable. So glad he can get high quality care at a price I can afford. It was wonderful to s... read more

Arroyo Veterinary is amazing! Not only are they awesome, but their whole staff is very sweet and super knowledgeable. I have gone through tons of vets, considering good vets now days are very hard to find. From my experience, Arroyo has been the best by far. Wrangler , my miniature Australian Shepard, was having lots of swelling in his face that lasted a good 4 to 5 days. I figured it was an allergic reaction to something like a spider bite or some kind of bite from some sort of insect. So, I had him on Benadryl for the 4 ... read more

Business response:

Paige, Thank you for the great review! We are so happy that Wrangler is feeling (and looking) much better.

The team at Arroyo is awesome. I've been taking my dachshund here since I got him in June. Karen is a gem. Whatever she gets paid is definitely not enough. She is always kind and helpful and provides her honest opinion on treatments. She recommended NexGard (the chewable flea treatment) after I mentioned still seeing fleas after using frontline- even though NexGard is less expensive. Haven't seen a flea since. They were also more than willing to help me over the phone when (then 5 month old) Linus ate a paper clip. All in al... read more

I am blown away by the level of care and compassion we experienced in the last few days during what was probably the most stressful, scary, and sad time we've ever experienced in our three years together. It started Tuesday night when we noticed our three year old Siamese, Dexter, was vomiting, not eating, and very lethargic. By Wednesday morning we knew we needed to get him to the vet ASAP. I called first thing in the morning and spoke to Karen. I told her our cat wasn't doing to well and we suspected he ate string. She s... read more

Highly recommended. I had to put my cat to sleep, and everyone was so compassionate. They gave me all the time I needed to spend time with my cat, Felix before the procedure and were very accommodating and knowledgeable.
