We had two of us eating for the night. We ordered two appetizers, and each of us had a Caesar salad, entree and each had a dessert. The staff were very nice and attentive. It seemed really dark in the restaurant, even the bathrooms were so dark you could barely see. All the food we ordered was mediocre at best. We didn’t finish a single thing that we ordered. Nothing had any flavor and was very bland.
We dined at Arthur’s Steakhouse for restaurant week and we’re extremely disappointed. The menu looked fabulous but the food was just not very good. We had the creviche appetizer - I think perhaps the shrimp and fish had actually been cooked before it was put in the citrus marinade - the seafood was very hard and rubbery. Disappointed that after making the reservation on open table, I got notified the reservation did not qualify for points. Not sure what’s up with that.
Even the best was average. Also received a filet that was spoiled only took one bite it was very gamey tasting. Not sure how this place got the reviews it has reminds me of Kenny’s wood fired grill, also terrible.
The service was poor. We never received our salads, appetizer was the best. My wife’s steak was cold and tough. It took over an hour after we ordered for our main course to arrive.
We went for our anniversary, and it was a first time visit. The anniversary was mentioned when reservations were made. Sadly they dropped the ball on helping us to make this evening special. The food was very good, but the service felt forced and minimal. With all the other higher end restaurants in DFW, sadly I don't see a return visit in our future.
We have dined at Arthur's several times previously and always had a good experience. Not this time. It was Valentine's evening. We were seated at a booth in the bar area. My view for the evening was a bin of dirty dishes and the station where the wait staff picked up silverware and entered orders. Not romantic. Not even pleasant. Then the piano playing and singer started and we were so close to it that we couldn't hear each other talk. It was a waste of $300 on what should have been a lovely couples night.
It was our anniversary but they couldn’t find our reservation and they didn’t do anything for our anniversary, as a result. They have given us desert in the past.
Great dining experience as always! The wait was really long, although I had a reservation, but we were told they were backed up due to the holiday. It was well worth the wait!
