The appointment was set for March 26th between 12-3pm. They called me at 2:30pm that day and said they would not be able to come. We rescheduledfor Monday the 31th between 12-3pm. I had to call them at 3:30 pm that dayand they said someone was held up and they would send someone different. I called back to confirm the location as no one had showed. I initially contacted them in November 2013 to evaluate and fix a basement dimmer switch that was both feeling and smelling hot. The appointment was scheduled for over 2 weeks later. The technician came out and informed us the switch needed to be replaced and they would order the part. Over 2 weeks later I contacted the company to check on the status of the new switch as no one from ashpaugh had contacted me. We will be parting ways with Ashpaugh, a company we have called upon for 20 years +/-. We could not get our garage door to open just prior to the prediction of really bad weather in Indpls; we checked the circuit breaker and found one had tripped, and re-set same. However the garage door would still not open. We understood the manual opening and my husband could perform same,but I cannot and we leave the house at different times.So, with the snow and low temps predicted, we felt it was very important we solve the problem. I apologized that due to a unforeseen shortage in staffing and extreme weather conditions, it did not allow us to provide them the utmost customer service as they had come to realize over the last 20+ years. I didn't get to speak to them, they canceled 2 times without reason. I really need and electrician and was extremely disappointed.

I had a bad experience with Ashpaugh. They are listed as one of your outstanding providers. The owner came out to give the estimate and he was so professional. He responded right away. He came in and I thought I had never seen anyone so thorough. Then we never got an estimate. He spent a good hour out here. I called a couple of times and he never responded. While he was here, he kept pressing us to give a local church a try and he kept talking about his ratings on Angie's list. I found that a bit heavy handed. That experienc... read more

With just moving into the home there were a number of additions, modifications, etc. that she requested pricing for. I am having trouble with the ceiling fan, he came in and fixed what he though was the problem and it worked and it ran all summer. When I turned it off in the summer it would not come back on. I do not know if there was something else wrong with it or what. When he was here earlier, he was going to call me to come back and give an estimation to have additional wiring run in my garage and things and he never called back.

This was truly a lousy experience because they did not do what they said they were going to do in terms of submiting an estimate and they knew I was member of Angie's list.

Electiricity to our sunroom (an addon) is out--the breaker keeps clicking off. Called Ashpaughs. They sent out someone who took some time to understand the problem. He seemed unable to come up with a solution so we made some suggestions. He concluded that possibly goes back to possible nick in wire during some underground excavating a few years ago. I moved into my 1970's 1600 sq ft home in October 2011. There were basically no overhead lights or ceiling fans. This was a huge problem for me, so I called to setup an estimate with Ashbaugh, as they are so highly rated on Angieslist. I got and appointment for a few days later and Mr. Ashbaugh came out to see the work and complete an estimate. I never heard back from him after this.
