The hygienist is wonderful. The office manager has poor listening skills and does not take action when a customer has a billing problem. We have spoke several times and each time she promises to refile my insurance claim but never takes the time to do so. I have spoken to the insurance company and all she needs to do is take the time to refile the claim (which Aspen did incorrectly originally) and it will be paid. Terrible service!! Tried to pull tooth without numbing my mouth, cancel appointments but don’t notify me that they are canceling appointment, ask to get my final dentures early and they refused to let me. Received bills with invalid amount due, go to office they tell me it’s a different amount. Don’t waste your money on such TERRIBLE service!!
The only staff member I interacted with that was pleasant was the receptionist/check-out person. I was not numb during my procedure and when I winced in pain I was told by the assistant that if I didn’t stay still they wouldn’t complete the procedure. The ONLY reason I went to Aspen is because it was Saturday and they were the only place open. Never again! I will self medicate to dull the pain until I can see my regular dentist. Horrible experience. Been in pain over a week since I had my procedure all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out they gave me horrible medicine that didn’t help with any pain and upcharged everything and charged me 135 for a toothbrush that I didn’t even need and can’t even use because it hurts too bad to brush my teeth with it and they pretty much don’t care because I’ve called multiple times to let them know but they want me to schedule another appointment which I already have one scheduled for a different problem. My son made an apt to have 2 teeth pulled and he has epilepsy so we made arrangements a week prior to his apt. for me,his mother, to go back with him while they put him under anesthesia because his seizures are brought on due to stress. His last seizure was in the chair at a dentist office. I sat and heard the receptionist called Dr. Riggs office to confirm the arrangements. Just drove all the way to Chattanooga and can't been seen because their system is down. I could have at least recieved a phone call. Unacceptable.
Everybody is nice and courteous until they present you with the amount. I had three pages of an itemized list of a lot of pointless things. I went in for a work up on my whole mouth and they told me it would be $15,000. With a discount at 1800. That’s outrageous and ridiculous. Robbery really. Shined a flashlight in my mouth for 10 seconds and charge me 30 bucks telling me I didn’t have cancer. There’s no way I’m gonna get on a roll with that for $15,000 worth of pointless things. A waste of time from start to finish. Office has trouble finding records you submitted online, yet has the audacity to call you and ask you to come early. I came early as requested and amazingly as soon as I walk through the door I overhear another patient complaining that she had been there an hour. Wouldn’t see me for my cleaning because they claimed they MUST have X-RAYS. X-rays I offered to sign a release form for so they could obtain from my regular dentist.
