My first visit was VERY unprofessional but I gave them another try. Truly regret!! During check in my insurance information was requested again because it got deleted out the system (okay understandably) then the receptionist “wanted to verify my social” so she said it out loud where there are other customers (definitely not cool!). Extremely frustrating. Last year I had an appointment with Aspen. Drove from Towson to York for my appointment because they are the only place in PA that I can go that takes my insurance. I get there only to be told that I can only get my teeth cleaned during this visit and I will not be able to see the doctor (for whatever lame reason they gave me) and that I would have to schedule another visit to see the Doctor. They did thousands of dollars in damage to my teeth. Choked me with the tooth mold concoction. Made me pay upfront, got my insurance preauthorization and then sent me a bill for $600. Told me they were giving me a partial for a missing front tooth and labeled it as a flipper said it was only good for 6 months. Have called the office so many times, treated rudely, do not care about the fact that EVERY SINGLE TOOTH THEIR PARTIAL TOUCHED IS NOW BROKEN. If you’re ever thinking about going to aspen dental, DON’T. They made me pay for Invisalign for 3 months and I never got my aligners. They had me come in for scans 3 separate times for my aligners. The last time I went, they did another set of scans and told me my aligners would be in, in about 2 weeks. Exactly one month later, I call to check on the status of my aligners and they told me I need to get scans done before my aligners are made??!!! 1st appointment they will get you in quick to do xrays and exam (but it took 1.5 hours). They could not fix my broken tooth that day and i would have to wait 3 weeks with a jagged tooth that was cutting into my lip. They told me I had another tooth that could not be saved and must be pulled (said a root canel wasn't possible). I went to my old dentist the same day and he fixed my broken tooth in 20 minutes (no xrays needed). Then I went back to my Dentist 2 weeks later for a cleaning and exam. I was rushed in the chair, was told I should go to a ENT doctor because I had tons of pressure on my sinus from an impacted wisdom tooth. Take more time to evaluate the symptoms the patient is describing.

Learn what it means to be a "participating provider" of an insurance group and stop trying to get the patient to pay what the insurance didn't pay. Also if you need to reschedule me, pick up the phone and call me -- don't send an email that I may not see.

How can Aspen Dental improve? Well, for starters, don't EVER rush your patients out of the chair. Take time to actually listen to the issues they're having and actually look into the pain they're having. One dentist there actually is amazing, but the first guy I saw was a total sham of a dentist. I will not be coming back to this place and I'm taking my business elsewhere. Dental emergencies should overtake anything else going on and I shouldn't be to the point where I'm almost passing out in the waiting room.
