This is a superior restaurant in every way. The food, service, servers, ambiance, wine list. We we there for a very special occasion this time and they did not fail to surpass our expectations. Bravo!
The food was fantastic and the service excellent. It is expensive, but well worth it for a special occasion.
Food and service is outstanding and the decor is elegant. The only draw back, which is not insignificant is the wine list. Unbelievable imbalanced. Way, way too many high priced wines ($150) and not nearly enough of mid range ($50-100). Anyone can put together a list of very expensive wines.
As always our evening was enchanting; everything was dead-on perfect. One of our favorite restaurants anywhere.
Bacchus should be one of the two or three primier restaurants in Milwaukee. It should be consistantly spot on and amazing every day. I have seen Bacchus have its ups and downs over the years. I took a group in June and had a good experience. Went again mid-July and was disappointed. Neither my scallop appetizer nor my filet entree came close to the way the dishes were described on the menu. I didn't want to spoil a birthday dinner by complaining.
This may be the best restaurant in Milwaukee
Wonderful group experience. We were a group of 8 great friends gathering for a special evening. The setting, food and staff were perfect.
My wife and I went to Bacchus to celebrate our anniversary and the staff did an amazing job making the evening feel special. Every staff member said happy anniversary, and for dessert they used chocolate to write out happy anniversary on the hazelnut the plate the molten chocolate hazelnut cake. Best lamb chop I've had since we were in Italy.
The table we had faced Lake Michigan; we were surprised there are a limited number of tables with this view in the room we were assigned. The menu had a variety of entrees and appetizers and one could order a main course portion of an appetizer. My wife was pleased with her scallops as I was with the lamb meatballs and paperdalle pasta. The peach salad we had was superb. The portions are small and one easily can have room for dessert. The diner that wants large portions maybe disappointed here. We enjoyed this restaurant and... read more
