WOW!!! Talk about feeling like a princess! We let them know it was our anniversary when we made reservations, they gave us a incredible window table and immediately brought us Prosecco. Our meals we excellent and we thought we couldn’t fit dessert. BUT they brought us a beautiful plate with 2 delicious brownies and “Happy Anniversary” written in chocolate! I came for the name (I have a thing about badgers) but was delighted to find a really cosy restaurant with a great menu, friendly service and reasonable prices. Only complaint was they overlooked the lamb sweetbreads.:: otherwise a lovely meal

Great place lovely food in comfortable setting with excellent service
Hake was a bit disappointing, sauce tasted burnt and small portion compared to fish and chips. Starter of scallops was lovely and everyone else’s main looked very good. Dessert menu had nothing appealing - an apple crumble or pie and something else chocolate would be an improvement. Nice wine although no reasonably priced Chardonnay or Pinot was surprising.
