I have been bringing my dogs to Taurus Academy on McNeil for almost 15 years. The Bark & Zoom location is convenient and you can drop off and pick up 24 hours a day. For me, when traveling, the convenience and flexibility justify any additional costs. They monitor my flight arrival time; I have never had to wait for a shuttle. And they have my car ready and waiting when I arrive. The facility is beautiful and my dogs love the employees.

We are SO LUCKY that Bark and Zoom opened, especially right outside the airport. My husband and I often do quick weekend trips and this place is absolutely perfect. The facility is gorgeous, chic, and extremely clean. Our dog literally scratches at the door to get inside because she has such a great time there. This is a huge relief. She gets to both relax and play at the same time. Anyone that is in need of either puppy day care or a few nights stay- THIS is the place to go!

I was so impressed by this place!! The facilities are state of the art and pristine and the people are so nice. My pup Winston leaves so happy because he's had a full day of play and we will be boarding him overnight soon. Highly recommend!

Bark & Zoom made boarding our pet and boarding our plane super easy. We dropped our dog off at 4am, they had us on the shuttle and at the airport by 4:15. When we landed, there was no wait time for the shuttle back to the facility, where our car was already waiting for us, engine running. Our pup seemed to really enjoyed the place, too! My favorite thing about the place is that they're 24/7, so no awkward designated pick-up or drop-off times necessary.

My pup has been going to Taurus at McNeil since he was born almost 4 years ago. About 6 months ago we moved to south Austin to be closer to work. Because Taurus has been so amazing I have continued to drive from south Austin to 183/McNeil twice a week since moving. Once I found out Taurus was building this facility I was very excited. Unfortunately we had a horrible experience last time we left both our 100lb boxers. One of our dogs was due to have surgery and so needed special care, which we paid for. However some of her MEDICATION was given to a different dog. We were also given the carefully portioned food I had provide back so our dogs didn't get their food and I was given someone else's tiny kibble back too. I paid for them both to be washed but both smelled disgusting when I had them in the car, I had to wash them again. I was told that my dog would... read more

I wanted to like this facility but was left sorely disappointed...and this was my first time. I wasn't able to get a "bark and zoom"shuttle when I arrived at the airport so I had to do a "park and zoom" one, which meant I got a lovely tour of those facilities before I was taken to pick up my dog. There was confusion as to why I was even on the shuttle and after a 5+ airport delay it wasn't the most welcome experience. Only one person was working at night for everyone that was showing up. They cancelled my reservation, after it was paid in full. They stated they did not receive a deposit... because it was paid in full. My dog loves going here but I found the customer service lacking and they've really put me in a bind on Thanksgiving week, as I will not be able to find alternative boarding. Hopefully, nothing goes wrong with our Christmas boarding but afterward I may be looking elsewhere for peace of mind that reservation will be handle with care.

Rex is the manager for this location and though he followed up with the issues that I had he ended up turning my issues around to being my problem. Which blew me away that he would not take ownership for his team and their lack of follow through. 1) they charge you $5 a day for photos and updates of your puppies (they are not consistent) 2) when you check in, they do not have any of the information that you entered into the system to make the check in seamless, they ask for you to answer everything again (this takes like... read more

Hi Alexandra, Regarding masks, Bark&Zoom is on the Airport, which means we have to follow Federal Airport mask mandates, and so we must require masks on the property for both staff and guests.
