Dishonest Business Pros: Nothing is the best I can write I will not choose this hotel anymore ! Room with ocean view is just a joke. If you do not need their bottle water during your stay, it's better to have them returned to front desk when you check-out to avoid the charge.
Redwood Forest family vaca Pros: Loved that it was new and easy to locate. Cons: Parking stinks, location in relation to any stores or restaurants is not great, lobby smelled of smoke, service received at the bar was wonky. :( Location: see above Nice hotel but had a few issues. Parking seemed to be for the casino partrons more than the hotel people. We had to park in the far lot and walk in the rain around to the front of the hotel (had our minor child with us so couldn't walk through the casino). Underground parking (what ... read more
It's ok. You may be better off staying in town. Pros: Clean. Nice landscaping. Gas station across the street. Underground parking if you get there early. Cons: Food. Casino. Noisy rooms. Location: Samoa Cookhouse. The first room 427 was stupidly loud. Some machine on the roof was making serious noise. The next 227 had the Mountain view seen in the photo. Reception said I could have a room down the hall, but housekeeping needed a half hour to clean it. (wait, it's worth it) I got the impression that online booking got you the... read more
The not so fine hotel experience. The front desk staff were not friendly and acted like we were a bother. The bell man was very good and accommodating. The food was good in the restaurant, as was the waitress. Not worth a second visit.
smells like smoke, bad restaurant food Pros: free parking Cons: restaurant and staff Location: middle of nowhere. but that made it cozy feeling the hotel staff seemed absolutely miserable and fairly rude. lobby and most of the rest of the hotel smelled of smoke even though there is a no smoking rule. I found the restaurant very displeasing. The menu looked delicious but when it came to the table it was very boring and not very tasty
Greatly Overrated Pros: Location off Highway 101. Cons: The poor room insulation. Location: Good location. We booked an "ocean view" at the higher rate. Our room on the 1st floor had a poor view...more of the parking lot and gas station than the distant ocean. The walls of the rooms are very thin....we could hear everything going on in both sides of our room and made it difficult to obtain a good nights sleep on either night. The rooms, although clean, are bare and modest.
