Staff not very friendly I was visiting a friend in fortuna decided to stay the night at the casino. Booked online went to check into room decided to stop off and get few snacks from across street on way in sercuity stopped me and said I wasn't allowed to come in cause I had acohol. I had a brown paper back and my luggage. He was very rude about it but I told him I was checking in and he let me pass. After walking threw casino once again another sercuity stopped me and said I couldn't be in casino with acohol. ?? I had luggag... read more
Toilet didn't flush, Pool was cold, no gym access. Pros: The view facing the west was gorgeous, the pool faces the west. Our room was on the East side so our view was not very nice. Cons: The pool water temperature should be definitely adjusted. It felt like it was 70 degrees. The key cards did not allow you to get into the gym. Location: Ferndale is a cute little town with Victorian style houses. Found Ferndale Pizza Co.delicious!. Awkward walking in, we were the only Mexicans in town. The toilet didn't flush, my husband di... read more
Disappointed No fridge or microwave in the room. No continental breakfast. We bought breakfast in the hotel restaurant and the water tasted like soap. Besides the above, had a great time, good live music.
One night stay Pros: Location, price Cons: Room, smell, mattress and pillows, cleanliness of gym. We were on a 2 week road trip through the West Coast. Stayed at the Bear River Casino since it's was along the coast (between the Redwoods and Napa). It's a casino that doesn't allow smoking anymore but the rooms and hallways still had a smoke smell which made the night sleep not so pleasant. I attempted to check out the "gym" which consisted of one treadmill and one bike, and was very dirty. It was part of the pool area so all... read more
Pros: rooms are clean and excellent Cons: Parking , shuttle service. There was a water drip, probably coming from the air conditioning unit above our room, and hitting our window sill that was extremely disturbing and interrupted our sleep. It started during the night and continued until morning. There are not enough parking spaces for all the guests. This is the third time I have stayed at your hotel and each time I have had to park at the far end of the casino parking lot. There are no active shuttle cart to transport your g... read more
Nice place to stay, usually I have been staying in the area for work for weeks at a time, usually always here. The staff have always been nice and the rooms are usually very clean. However, the last stay was pretty disappointing. I don't usually make a point to write negative reviews but, this isn't the first time, just the worse! There was several drunk people around the hotel and completely disrespectful fellow hotel guests that, at all hours of the two nights I stayed, were yelling, fighting, slamming doors screaming at e... read more
NO NO DONT GO!!
Taking a chance Pros: Food was good. Seemed that it was the preferred weekend getaway spot for the surrounding area. Cons: Staff Training. tighten the room fixtures. invest in sound proofing Location: Avenue of the Giants, Humboldt State Park You always take a chance when you book a room at a casino. Their main interest is in you spending money, not a good night's sleep. Front desk staff was under trained and understaffed for resposibilities. I spent over $120 on a room and was put in a room that was at the end of a hallway ... read more
BUYER BE AWARE *DO A WALKTHROUGH AT CHECK-IN* Pros: Nothing Cons: Interior - walls, carpet, lighting, showers, fixtures, beds, linens, furniture, elevators Exterior - parking garage (what a joke) , parking, paint Make sure, if you stay here, that you complete a walk-through checklist with staff at time of check-in to ensure you are not accused AND CHARGED $$$$$$ for supposedly leaving a stain or scuff on the wall. Good rule of thumb would be to also take pictures of every inch of the room for proof in case they come back and... read more
