They told me time and time again they would hit my closing date. The day before closing Joanna stated everything would be ready by tomorrow. When I got to my closing they were all of a sudden waiting on something else. When I asked what it was they couldn’t answer me properly and said we could close the next Monday. This company started of fine. It's been over 30 days and I still do not know if my loan was approved. They don't answer the phone, Chauncey Simpson does not return emails. This entire experience has been very disappointing. No communication at all. The link to get a call back does not work but I'm not surprised. If I could give 0 stars I most certainly would.

May 2018: A few days ago I closed on a mortgage loan with Better Mortgage. I didn't quite know what to expect from a 100% online process, but it was great. My loan officer was knowledgeable and very helpful through the process. Not only she responded timely and fulfilled her commitments, but she was friendly and easy to talk with. If I could give ZERO stars I would, I applied for a mortgage back on 4/12, I was instantly approved for new home, I provided over 50 documents, setup insurance, provided everything they asked for, the communication was little to none, it was like pulling teeth to get a response, my "loan ranger" was non existence, after several weeks gone by, they tell me that this property is an investment property, even though it is going to be my primary home, but my house has not been sold yet, due to a slow market, so after 1 month, the... read more

I applied for a refinance of my 30 year mortgage into a 15 year. Since itemizing interest would not help me anymore and I got a great rate. My loan was funded in 30 days. I uploaded all documents and signed most through esignature, except at closing. They sent an Attorney to my location of choice for closing. The Attorney even brought a witness for signature verification. I provided documentation and clarifications when asked. Better mortgage closed a loan on a new primary home with the same rate and $1200 less in fees than my long time bank and existing mortgage holder. Better's team had great communication, and was available outside of normal working hours. For anybody with any tech savvy, I would recommend. I will use this company for any future purchases.

Website/Product does not work: after submitting my very personal information for the soft credit check, I was unable to get the loan estimate because of the data validation on the salary page.
Do not ever request a loan of any type with Better Mortgage Corporation, they will make you waste your time. We applied and were approved instantly. Then came the tons and tons and tons of requirements, some of which were absurd. They are not friendly nor professional when you try to contact them. Their process is extremely slow. After you have spent hours and day submitting everything they ask for...even your ancestors history, then they tell you they cannot approve your loan.
