Get directionsThey promised $25 to take a short survey, but never mentioned it again after I clicked "Start". Just a ripoff and misleading come on! So how could I trust them with a loan if they arent even honest about a simple written promise?

It was different handling the loan totally electronic, but there was no disconnect in getting what I needed or what they requested. It was a seamless process that I would use them to do again. There are a couple of issues that prevent me from giving them a perfect rating. Better explanation of the process as it's moving forward with regard to contacts from other reps and getting needed tasks at once rather than 1 or 2 every day, both would have been helpful.
Better's pricing was unbeatable. There were a couple minor issues over the course of the mortgage process, but overall, the price is well worth the minor inconveniences.

I am very unhappy with the process. Worked with the Better Team for over a week. Had trouble with the online pre-approval process. Received several messages that I was rejected because my credit score was too low. It was on the high end of their range. Once I got pre-approved I was told everything was OK. Uploaded all the documents as requested. I discussed my discharged bankruptcy which I was told was not a problem. Because of the bankruptcy I was moved into an FHA loan. That was fine. ********** had the lowest rates I could find (other than ***** ******** ****). However, I didn't end up going through FR even though their rate was .2% lower because they wanted 30% down due to the home being in a "vacation home" area. With ********** I was able to do 15% down and I received a Loan Estimate (LE) pretty quickly in the process. Other lenders I was shopping with were taking too long to provide an LE. I still believe in Better.com .... But BUYERS BEWARE ... The Title and Funding company is irresponsible and redirecting the problems back to the Lender ... *** ****** *** **** sent a Notary who wanted to complete the meeting in 30 minutes. Mr. T******* did not add Initials of all parties at the bottom of all pages causing the possibility of falsifying the data in any pages later on. And unfortunately that really happened after funding.
