I've always been a fan of Big Boy's. This location at 12 Mile and Hoover in Warren, MI was recently remodeled after a driver took a detour through the east wall of the building. The management here has recently purchased really cool plates and mugs. The coffee is always great and I never have a complaint with the food... always hot and fresh. The salad bar looks clean and fresh. Our server was friendly and very professional. I will definately be going back again.

Have found a new favorite on their menu: the Sunrise Slim Jim with hashbrowns. Delicious! I prefer coffee with a meal like this, but their coffee is awful. Either that or it's been sitting on the burner too long. If that's the case, then they need to make a fresh pot every 20 minutes.

3.75 Stars This is one of the better Big Boys in my area, the one in Eastpointe is great for breakfast but sometimes the dinner time has been hit or miss. Pros: The soup and salad bar is well kept, they seem to care about what they are putting in front of you. The fish and chips have been consistently good. Cons: Prices are going up but considering how they keep this Big Boy it still is a decent value. I'm getting older, so we old people tend to complain that the prices aren't the same as 30 years ago. Comment: In... read more

I was thoroughly impressed by this Big Boy. Usually, this retro inspired chain leaves me thinking strictly of senior specials and unidentifiable's on the salad bar. But this visit was different- the restaurant was bustling with plenty of staff and all were very friendly. I had the cream of broccoli soup (a long time favorite) which was a little lumpy (due to late day soup consumption) but tasted good. I also had a chicken caesar salad which was spectacular. The lettuce was perfectly crisp and beautiful, not too much dre... read more

Took our kids up there for the very first time. Wasn't expecting anything fancy but the boys just wanted the kids fruity pebble pancakes with vanilla ice cream icing on it. We put in our order 15min later they come back saying they don't have most of the stuff my gf had to pick something else. They said they had no more fruity pebbles so the boys chose strawberry and cookies and cream. They bring the food out and it's just plain pancakes with 4 strawberries or top and a couple crumbles Oreos on top. Not put inside at all no ... read more

Went to Big Boy today and the food was good. When we got ready to pay the bill it was $47. We paid the bill and left a & 2.00 tip because she came over 2 times. When we got home and looked at the bill SAMANTHA the waitress gave herself a 67.00 tip. We went back there and spoke to the manager ( Opie Cunningham) said it must be something wrong with the machine. We will return the money to your account in 3-5 business days. I said call Mr. Big Boy it didn't take 3-5 Business days to take it out. He then said we will return the... read more

First time to come here. Breakfast buffet at $15.99 per person is not worth spending especially if you come 2 hours before buffet closes. Food isnt fresh anymore.. The server Cheyanne looks like she didnt want to be there. When I tried to order dessert for my daughter and had asked if we had an option to choose what side of ice cream for the apple pie, she had that annoyed look on her face that I will mever forget.. Even the tone in her voice is condescending. Again, first time to eat at BigBoy so I thought we pay the se... read more
