Our waitress was fantastic. My ladies friends (12) from crossroad church in Doylestown, Ohio had a wonderful lunch, almost all of us ordering BIG BOYS EVERYONE enjoyed their meals..Strawberry pie.....delicious. Brought back some very special memories from my youth. Diner with a 50's feel. Who could ask for more?
We had not enjoyed an actual Big Boy burger since we were kids in Mayfield, and the restaurant in Valley View did not disappoint! The service was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious! It took us back! The room had a nice hum about it and the table, menus (!) and restrooms were all clean, as well. Kudos to the crew working Saturday night! We will be back!
I really liked the burger I got and the mozzarella sticks were good too. The staff was kind and fast which is something hard to come by with many places you go nowadays. The interior still has its classic "Mom and Pop" diner kinda vibe which is really refreshing. My father said the soup wasn't too good but it could've just been a bad batch. All in all I'd say it's definitely a nice place to visit if you're in the area and you're hungry.
Good food how do you want me? Dammit with hashbrowns toast is very good. Hashbrowns are done perfectly I asked for a little brown service was good waitresses were cheerful.
My teammate's and I went for lunch. The server was prompt and attentive. The big boy was what I remembered years ago. One of my teammate's got a salad she enjoyed another got breakfast that was perfect. The server gave us a refill in a cup to go. I know this location is old The only drawback is the ugly smell when you walk in the door.
I saw some bad reviews which made me a little nervous but I can't been to a big boy in many years and wanted to try it. Honestly everything was excellent. The food was great and staff were super nice. Maybe this location has improved I'm not sure but I had a great experience
Big Boy was the first burger I had with more than mustard and ketchup on it. I was 10 or 11 yrs old. 65 years later it's still my favorite burger. Sadly there's only one Big Boy restaurant in the Akron / Cleveland area. The service may not be the fastest but they are friendly and genuine. The feeling is that of a '50's family restaurant mainly because they are a 50's family restaurant at heart.
It was great. No one in New York State has the Brawny Lad sandwich. You can't even buy a rye hamburger bun any place. The slaw is good but could be chopped a little finer for my taste. I have driven to Cleveland from Orchard Park, NY just to get this sandwich. There used to be a Big Boy in Erie, Pa which is 90 miles closer but no more. Put one in the Buffalo area please.
I have have been here in YEARS First the food I had the bacon -blue cheese burger it was really good, better many burger places, it really looked exactly as the picture on the menu bacon hanging off the really good. My mother had the original big boy a classic with onion rings, true you get 12ish rings but they are HUGE the each was size of your palm, well worth $3, The service was good it was not busy, our waitress took our order quickly, checked on us a few times.
